Not many places would get you much with £125k. Even in the roughest parts of salford when you used to be able to pretty much buy a whole street for that much

One of my first jobs when I left college was as a Negotiator for Halifax Property Services....we regularly had houses on for less than £20k and builders would come in and make cash offers on 5 or 6 properties every week. The most expensive house we had was a 5 bed executive detached (new build box) that was £95k did loads of viewings on that but no-one could ever afford it
