the only reason they say mutual agreement is when they have negotiated down the amount due on his contract, otherwise he would have been fired, but it's the same thing

True, but there are only few that can pay him what he was on at Fox. Most being mainstream networks. H cant go to any of those though so he's got a huge decision to make.

Label him a conspiracy theorist and far-right, that should do the trick to preserve the status quo. How dare he question our masters? Everyone knows that building 7 collapsing was perfectly normal. It's the home of free speech so long as Musk happens to either agree or be indifferent to whatever has been said. He's made that abundantly clear so far .

For now I'd say this is probably filed under "indifferent". If he starts criticising Musk or SpaceX or Tesla or any of Musk's other interests he'll be suddenly "less free".
