‘She-de-wull’ or ‘sked-u-wull’?

T’only correct answer. Bikes and lawnmowers fit into sheds more than appointments and rotas, surely.

I voted 'Sked' in the poll, but I'm not sure actually. I think I do say 'Shed' sometimes.

To me it’s just the normal way. ‘Shed-ull’ just sounds wrong. Just like ‘plantin’ (Jamaican pronunciation for what’s spelt and otherwise pronounced as plantain).

You can’t just speak of the north as one big conglomerate. Liverpool’s a northern city technically but with its Celtic and Irish (etc.) influence it’s completely different to anywhere else up north, likewise for the Scouse accent itself. Likewise Plymouth and Cornwall are in the south (S.W.) but the way they talk is far from anything like what you’ll hear in London/the Home Counties.

I would’ve thought so, tbh. “Shed” still makes zero sense.

Either either.
Not a word I use much, but if I was being pedantic I would say the traditional English way is SHEDule. |
