Yes he said it was because I was doing something about it all. It won't take too long to repay him. It'll take longer to regain and rebuild trust but I've only myself to blame for that. Nevertheless I do feel a lot better.

Well done for stopping Kate - I've seen people lose everything to gambling. Careers, homes, businesses... terrible to see, even worse when you've been facilitating it.

Honestly it's a really unique addiction - it doesn't take a physical toll like most addictions but there is no other addiction, not the heaviest drug habit in the world, that can cause so much financial devastation so quickly. I saw a man go from £70k to his last 50p in a week. Absolutely shocking.

The bloke I work with now used to work in a slaughter house.
