There's a bit of a to-do regarding the vinyl releases.

So the album has a total of 27 tracks but all of the vinyl variants are missing five of them which has got many, including me, wondering why we weren't made aware of this before we ordered? There's been no mention of them being left out on the site or anywhere and many are demanding refunds already.

Also, it seems as though the album was renamed last minute, too. The vinyl cover's spine says "Act ii: Beyince" which correlates to the sash she's wearing on the cover. There's also a large "BEYINCE" inside the gatefold written in smoke. The only mention of "Cowboy Carter" is on a label stuck to the record.

Seems like there might have been some sort of rush/mix-up or something in the final stages which is weird considering it's been confirmed that this album was recorded first of all three acts, even before Renaissance which has been out now two years?

Bungled releases do sometimes happen tbf.

At least unlike new Video Games, the Music won't glitch on you.

…yeah I did read that it was missing Soaghetti, Flamenco, The Linda Martell Show, Ya-Ya and Louisiana…which is really disappointing for you, I know…it’s sounding as though there were some final changes but they released that pre change copy also for the pre-orders…?…I know that it’s a very expensive way of doing it but I would probably want both because the copy you have now might become quite rare it the future as a ‘limited edition’…?…plus I’d want the 5 tracks as well and the full album…I’D WANT IT ALL…!!!!!!!!….…which colour variation did you go for, isn’t there a choice…?….

True - I’m keeping a hold of this one and not opening it until something/anything gets announced maybe regarding a new release or deluxe edition or something with all of the tracks. We’ll see.

I just got the black vinyl - same as my act I, plus it was cheaper than the coloured variants!

…crikey I hadn’t realised there was such a cost difference with the colour versions until I just looked…damn it, the white one looks pretty fine, though……but yeah, hang onto the one you have because it could be one of the first/more rare copies…

…I was thinking about your album yesterday evening, LaLa…maybe the tracks were cut down because there were too many for a vinyl…?..I just can’t recall an album back in the vinyl day that would have had 27 tracks, so….mind you, some tracks are tiny, aren’t they….so I’m not sure, it was just a thought….

Possibly! The vinyl varies slightly from the CD too apparently with different intros/outros to tracks but idk, just what I've seen online.

One of the tracks that's missing, the fantastic "YA YA", is the only song on the whole album that actually mentions the words "Cowboy Carter" (it's not mentioned anywhere on the cover neither apart from a sticker on the outside - it was 100% definitely supposed to be "act ii: BEYINCE" until very recently, for whatever reason), which is leading people to believe that that song and the four others missing in that same "chunk" were recorded later and missed the pressings (I believe it's a very long process).

My vinyl arrived today anyway - it's great to finally have a copy in my hands!

I do buy some LP's that do not get a CD release
Copy them into 24bit sound
