Yeah no ****. Don’t expect anything from someone who supports sexual predators, or respect them.

You keep doing you, no one really cares

No no no.

You want to play the triggered snowflake over the silliest of things then you need to be held accountable.

If you don’t want to be constantly reminded of the many hills to choose to die on then just stop climbing them.

The message of being vigilant has been around for at least 30 years, so contrary to the thread title, it is normal, to suggest otherwise is plain wrong. Also, police were on patrol when the IRA were at their height, they were preaching vigilance then and that was 60 years ago
I would say yes in England due to the IRA but only from the 70s, prior to that no, and across Europe were there terror threats, not sure there were

even in scotland in the 70's and that was 50 years ago. I remember getting evacuated from Marks and Spencers because of a bomb threat. There were lots of threats across europe. Think of the Munich olympics in 1972

One of the most worrying things about all this is people with zero understanding of what's going on. People who are vigilant are snowflakes, apparently. The lack if awareness is staggering. Maybe it's just a ruse to score cheap points on a forum... I hope so. Surely no one is that blinkered in real life?

There are several reasons why it's considered normal to be vigilant at public gatherings:
* Increased Risk: Public gatherings, especially large ones, attract more people, which unfortunately also increases the potential for criminal activity such as theft, pickpocketing, or even more serious crimes.
* Anonymity: The crowd can provide cover for individuals with malicious intent, making it easier for them to blend in and carry out their plans.
* Distraction: The excitement and noise of a public event can distract people, making them more susceptible to falling victim to scams or losing track of their belongings.
* Awareness Campaigns: Law enforcement and security agencies often run awareness campaigns encouraging people to be vigilant, especially at large events. This helps to raise public awareness and promote a sense of responsibility.
* Personal Safety: Ultimately, being vigilant is a matter of personal safety. It's about being aware of your surroundings, trusting your instincts, and taking precautions to protect yourself and your belongings.
While it's important to be cautious, it's also crucial to enjoy the event without excessive fear. A balance between vigilance and relaxation is key.
