An airline can come up with 100 reasons to remove people from a plane that are not controversial, so it's unlikely they would hang their hat on a controversial reason.

For example, if someone is drunk on a plane and call someone a *******, they say they were thrown off for being drunk

…I have watched just a tiny bit of the video footage of one of the children being detained/handcuffed…and it doesn’t have complete context, I realise …but an initial thought for me is that it’s very heavy handed and perhaps unnecessary to use such force with children of age 10-15yrs old… but I can’t really say much more because the full ‘disruptive actions’ and context isn’t there that caused to pilot to make the decision they did…

…the OP source seems to be the Telegraph, which is a particularly awful clickbait media…maybe because it’s a paid for thing that it sensationalises its headlines more to try to draw those subscribers in…?…it sensationalises to the point of inaccuracy, though…anyway, @Barry. isn’t someone who tends to make any clickbait type threads or shows anything other than balance of thought to any topic but ‘fake divisive news’ is so commonplace and so persistent, sadly…

I don't think Barry meant offense at all. The media omits so many things these days for whatever purpose it think it suits that checking X for emerging facts to current news is reasonable. It's just social media is hyperactive and anything seen there needs some time to be verified. I always wait a bit for the picture to become more clear.
