There is American research too, but the most famous and detailed studies linking childhood intelligence to racism are UK-based.

In the US, similar patterns have been found, though often using different measures:
• McCourt et al. (1999, Personality and Individual Differences)
• Large US twin study. Lower cognitive ability was linked to higher ethnocentrism and conservative attitudes.
• Sidanius & Pratto (1999, Social Dominance Theory)
• Across multiple US samples, people with lower cognitive complexity scored higher on racial prejudice and social dominance orientation.
• Heaven et al. (2011)
• US and Australian samples found that lower abstract reasoning correlated with higher right-wing authoritarianism, which in turn predicted racial prejudice.

The difference is that in the UK studies, they had huge nationally representative cohorts tracked from childhood to adulthood, so the link is much cleaner. In the US, the data is often cross-sectional, so it shows correlation but not a clear developmental timeline.
