There are only around 20 hostages alive so the rest will be going home in boxes having been beaten, raped, starved, deprived of water, made to dig their own graves... But I am thankful that they will be going home to their families. In return, Israel will be releasing thousands of Hamas supporters including a couple of hundred who are serving life sentences. Fair? The thing that does give me hope is that it's expected that Hamas has, or shortly will, agree to take no further part in the running of Palestine. The billions that have been poured into Gaza over the last couple of decades has been spent by Hamas on arms and digging tunnels. The people of Palestine could be living high on the hog right now rather than the squalor many have endured before the war, and the devastation they've endured since Hamas attacked Israel 2 years ago.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but this whole terrible time in history has returned us to a brand of Jew hate not seen since WW2 and I'm not sure that's going to go away, nor be forgiven.
