why should anyone have to provide a definition of woke?

The simple fact is that Dr Who has been absolute rubbish for years. The writing has been dire. It's not enjoyable to watch

Old Star Trek doesn't seem to be attacked for being "woke", and that's not devoid of progressiveness or left wing political messages.

Nor was ANY Doctor Who!

I've said this before and I maintain - "woke" is used when something is (perceived as being) rubbish.
