'Intelligence' is not merely about knowledge, although this is an aspect of it. They clearly have no general knowledge. Not to know Israel and refer to it as Israq is unbelievably foolish. To spell 'taxes' as 'taxis' is clearly dumb. To use the word we are 'psychopaths' instead of 'telepathic' is ludicrous.

But, intelligence is mainly about understanding the world outside your own bubble. All they are about is pink, shallowness and nothing DEEP. There needs to be some understanding of the world around you to be intelligent. They have NO ACQUIRED knowledge.

Intelligence is also about sensitivity and empathy. They only seem to be aware of themselves, and nothing that goes on around them.

They are just like eleven year olds in my class in primary school. I am sometimes amazed at how little they have developed into adults. There is no maturity or depth to them. In fact, they have NEVER once said anything intelligent, so I cannot see how you can describe them as such. When have they ever said anything informative?

Please do not use the 'they are at Uni' argument. We no little to their background, the level of the Uni they are in, how hard it is to get in, their A levels, etc. I can assure you that their Literacy ability is EXTREMELY low, and I find it very hard to believe they have any acquired knowledge whatsoever, as they have not matured beyond the age of eleven.

Please, now I have argued how they have very little intelligence, anyone can explain why they are intelligent?

Being inarticulate does not necessarily equate with unintelligence, but when you take the twins personality as a whole, it is an example of their unintelligence. This may not be the case with other people who are inatriculate. I do not think Brian is stupid, for example, and he is extremely inarticulate.

Fair enough, but all you've really shown is that they spelt 1 word wrong, got 1 word mixed up with another and that they don't have a very good Geography. You said knowledge is just an aspect of intelligence but a lot of your post has been about how much knowledge they have or how informative they are.

They are totally aware of what goes on around them. They've observed everything that goes on in the House, even the arguments. And as you said anyway, we know very little about their background... so how could you possibly know that they have no acquired knowledge?

And to say they have no maturity or depth is not true. If they had no maturity, by now they would've been involved in a few screaming arguments over something very petty, thrown tantrums, cried to emotionally blackmailed people, and things like their fellow housemates have done. The twins have conducted themselves well in the house and with more maturity than anyone else.

Just because they like pink doesn't mean they're shallow. I don't see how they're shallow at all, maybe they are a bit shallow but a lot of people are.

They help with the shopping list every week, have given their all in every task and help around with the chores in the house. If they were idiots, I doubt they would've taken as much responsibility as they have, baring Carole, they've taken more responsibility than any housemate, and are very mature.

1) You claim they are a bit shallow 'but a lot of people are'. That does not make it right to be shallow. 'Pink' is not the only reason they are shallow. They have no depth. I have never heard them talk about ANYTHING with any depth, it only seems to be about materialistic, shallow things.

2) I argued that knowledge is one aspect of intelligence, in one paragraph. The rest of my argument was not based on this one point.

3) You claim they have conducted themselves with maturity. I am afraid screaming, jumping on furniture and pulling people you do not fance is hardly mature in my book.

4) They helped with the shopping list every week. So what.

5) My basis for saying they have no acquired knowledge is that over a period of twelve weeks, I have never heard them say ANYTHING of any merit or anything that shows a deeper understanding of the world we live in. They are truly vacuous. I did not mean to refer to the house they are in at this time. 'Acquired knowledge' meaning what they have learnt about the world in general.

6) I also neglected to note in my OP, that intelligence can also be defined by emotions. And they have the emotional level of an eleven year old. (Trust me, they are just like some of the Lower Ability girls in my class in Primary school).

So, I repeat, where is the evidence of their intelligence?

What are their GCSEs? What are their A levels? They could have poor grades.

They have done their first year at uni actually and 85% of students go on to obtain their degree,so it is highly likely they will also. they wouldnt be at uni had they not got good grades in there a-levels,your obviously pig ignorant to that fact.
I am not saying they are intelligent people but they obviousy have some knowledge or they would not have been able to progress to higher education.They seem to know little general knowledge but that does not mean they are not intelligent.

It is ridiculous to claim you have to have 'good grades in A levels to get into uni. Firstly, correct me if I am wrong, but they are in a polytechnic. Secondly, where is your statistic come from that 85% obtain a degree. Thirdly, what sort of degree are you referring to. If you are going to tell me that a 3rd from a poly makes you intelligent, I will jump off a cliff.

To sum up, your point that going to uni means you have 'some knowledge' is a nonsense. Anyone can go to uni nowadays, as long as they have money.

I am a good judge of character and aware of all my students' strengths and weaknesses.
