I cant see any reason why Matthew would not be allowed to continue with this.

While Chris was an active member of this site it is only right that he holds the rights, but when he has left the site then this game can be ran by anyone. Matthew followed the correct route to get permission for this which is through the admin of this site.

Well when I did it last season it was a backing track. Kinda depends on how well you want to be heard. I sometimes used the original track.

Thanks for all the support guys. I expect that the acts will have a backing track to sing from, just like on the ITV show. When you send your audition clips to us, between the 14th-17th December, can you make sure there's no backing track. This is so we can listen to your voice without anything in the background, and it makes it easier to analyse your singing.
In reply to your question Remy, i'm not sure who won the last series but i'll have a look for the series 1 thread and take a look.

Just be warned, we may show all of the voice clips on the audition highlights shows, just like on the TV series. Also, there will be interviews with the auditionees. I'll be presenting the main show with a mystery person presenting The Xtra Factor.

Sorry, only just saw this.

James did give me permission to this last week or something, but if Matthew wants to do it, that's fine, I've got a lot of coursework at the moment, so I don't have that much time, I wouldn't be able to do it for a while anyway.

Please Can someone Provide us with a Free Recording Program Ive been looking for ages but can not find one.

Ive got Windows Sound Recorder but u can only sing for 60 seconds.

I'm defo entering, afterall, this should help me if I'm gonna audition for the XF next year.
&Thanks for the info about backing tracks.

Another stupid question, but does the longer we leave it to enter affect our chances of getting in? I REALLY wanna audition but I'm getting over a throat infection [yeah, great since I have to rehearse for a musical tomorrow], and my voice ain't sounding great. xD

Learn the tune of the song. It's only for the auditions that they'll be no backing track.
