Absolute rubbish! You really didn't study it well and must have got your facts wrong, or learnt the wrong facts. Northern England is not as rich as Southern England, but Northern England is not poor.

There is a difference between the London area and the northern one, you can't say the contrary. It's not rich but it's not poor too. However, some exceptions exist so I haven't studied each city.

I live about 45 mins from Boro and personally cant stand the place. I go to the University of Teeside often for meetings and find the whole place other than the Uni very grim indeed. It is a very deprived area, yes there are nice parts of it like there are other cities but the place in general is just grim, grim, grim.
