It doesn't seem the same on here any more for me.The BB9 section is cluttered up with annoying posts that are full of text speech.Regular members leaving or getting banned just makes even less enjoyable.

I have been on here for about a year and a half and really don't post as much as I used do, although I still come on and read the posts. But I remember a lot of members left a while back and it was just a phase, which seems to be occuring again. I do agree its less exciting but I think thats because of a lot of the posts all being on the same topic ie. Big Brother flashes, whats going to be in the house, predicting housemates and a load of clearly untrue rumours. I also think there is less of a community feel about Tibb, where everyone knows everyone. I would never leave and am hoping the people that post stupid threads will get bored and not become permanent members.

I always think when some people leave or go on breaks "get a grip, it's a forum, stop being so dramatic" but I understand completely now. I've just had a few days off the forum because some members on here think the sun shines out of their arse, they aren't accepting of other people's opinions and like it's already been mentioned, it's all too cliquey and if you challenge one of them, you challenge them all and it's just not as friendly as it was.

I've just noticed though that quite a few were banned/left after I went which was a pleasant surprise, because I think now that certain people are gone, other people will be able to have their opinion without certain people coming along with a sarcastic, apparantly 'witty' comment to try and put them down.

And older members are just as guilty of things that the "new members" are doing too, yet it's not picked on as much with older members, though of course it depends on the member.

yeah me too i don't see the problem with having new members, as i say you were all new members at some point and don't think you'd have appreciated people being funny when you just joined...
who knows some "new members" could turn out to be legends, ya never know...
a good member is a good member regardless of their number of posts or length of time on here. people will come and go, get over it

Looking back at my posts from when I first joined, I was a total tool. I used text speak, I posted crap and just generally an 'annoying member'. Not purposely, but just because I was getting used to the forum, I was still 'young' per se so I did talk daft, and I did use text speak. But not once did I get a nasty comment from anybody, or a snotty, sarcastic remark. Members back then weren't so up themselves and they were welcoming to new members.

As for the text speak etc, they left it for the Admin's to tell me, who did it politely, and it soon all changed. And I weren't for put off the forum, but if I got the response and comments new members get now, I'd run a mile.

No-one tries and forces anyone out? People just get annoyed when they have been here for a while, and everything is good and then people come along with the:
"hyarz ii av jst seen da nuu bb eye innit" for the 23423th time.

Why let yourself get annoyed over something so minimal?

Yet even though so many people get annoyed, they insist on responding to the thread with a not so nice comment. Whereas if they politely pointed them in the right direction to the thread it's already posted in, the forum would be a lot better and more welcoming.

Not everyone is a Big Brother forum pro, or a forum pro for that matter. Some people see the BB eye, search for somewhere to talk about it, and due to their lack of knowledge about forums, they duplicate a thread ... big ****ing wow. Come on, there's more to life then having digs at people who have posted something that's already been posted. Plus, I know for a fact that if Mark [Admin] did it, none of you would say anything remotely like you do to new members. Or older members generally.

Fair enough if they came on and insulted people, but they simply come on and post a thread because they're excited, what part of that warrants a horrible comment from other members?

"forces out" might have been a bit farfetched but there is definitely people moaning about new members, i've seen it all over.
people who use that sad 10 year old text talk are annoying but not just newbies

Not really. When there is duplicat threads, trying to find an actual decent one to reply to is a pain in the arse, and most of the people who I've seen make comments are because it happens time and time again from the same ones. I know I U2Ud like 3 of them and asked them politely if they could post without text speech but they stil done it.
And why would Mark post duplicate threads?

I find it easy. When I look in the BB9 forum, I only go into threads I want to read. It's obviously in the topic title if it's somebody saying they've seen the eye, so why go in there? Why not just stay away? Or do you enjoy wasting your time when you know that what's in the thread you don't want to read?

And by mistake, without realising it's already been posted. I'm sure if he did then he wouldn't get the response the newbies get.

Tbh if you look at most threads most of them only post a link to where it has already been posted.
And telling them it's already posted could be because it is being discussed in another topic, so the OP knows?
