I can see it doing an "Rihanna - Umbrella" and staying at number one for a really long time. Just thought I'd let you know the download on iTunes was meant to be released on August 6th but because the demand for the song was so huge, it was released early.

Yeah, it seems to have gone that way in a lot of other countries. Umberella was so catchy and so is this so hopefully it'll do just as well as Rihanna did over here.

I hope so and I reckon it will do too. I'm just shocked at how well it's done over here. Apparently it's already top 10 in the midweek charts.

Nah, unfortunately it hasn't even reached the top 40 in midweeks yet. However, I expect it could do very shortly with its instant success on iTunes.

I hope Katy is at number #1 for a long time but I hope it doesn't become as annoyingly overplayed as Umbrella.
Her whole album is fantastic and she thoroughly deserves the success.
