No, I don't hate him, I actually liked him, but he's going to be isolated from the rest of the groups. They're all form their cliques, and he'll be on his own, everyone will pity him.
I really feel sorry for him being in there. I wish they hadn't put him in.
Now it's very rare I agree with something like this, but I do.

It's not because I 'dislike' the character he is, but I find it hard to get an understanding of what the show will gain from this, maybe they're trying to throw their equal rights policy at us.

Which is fair enough, Equality for all. I just think this is the wrong stage to display it on such a scale.

equal opportunities????
I think as long as he feels he can handle it then he should be fine. He seems to just live his life the best he can and i dont think its that nice that people are going to evict him just because he is blind.Thats just my opinion though

LOL! Well it wouldn't be my opinion if I didn't think it was right, would it?

Thats what a forum is about, discussing differing opinions. I'm not trying to change the OPs opinion, I am stating mine. It's a debate!
Yeah well read the opinions first because I didn't say I sympathise him.

It was the blind mans CHOICE AND WISH to AUDITION AND ENTER.

That alone renders the topic creators argument useless.

Or maybe they are complying with the DDA?

And I never said you did - my post was obviously in response to OPs.

I can see what your saying, but I think it shall give the house a very different spin - you have to think about teamwork as he'll need extra support...

It's a matter of opinion, and I agree that the point was quite constructively covered by the original poster.

I believe Big Brother, maybe just maybe, has bit of a little more than it can chew here.

I think that actually Big Brother has countered this quite well, by sticking in Darnell, because it's provided us with two people who usually face this kind of condescending pity in every day circumstances, to balance each other out. You can't say "Michael shouldn't be in there because he's blind" because he has every right to be there, he made the decision to audition for the show and he got it. I think BB producers knew they would face this kind of thing, so they perhaps put Darnell in so that people couldn't say "they've stuck this one guy in, he'll be all alone" as you have two unique people with unique circumstances, so we can see how well they both function in the house. Good luck to them!
