I really don't think the issue is with the initial act.

Personally, the initial act was bad enough for me. Just because some people wouldn't have been offended doesn't mean everyone else needs to 'lighten up'. The fact she WAS offended, shows it was offensive to her.

Secondly, like I said - the initial act was bad, but excusable as a misunderstanding/misreading of the situation. But when Sylvia showed she was offended (not by shouting, simply by saying "I'm so offended") he continues to taunt her about it. This, is what was worse... it was the way he was swearing at her and mocking her because of it.

And then people are saying he later didn't have a chance to apologise. Why didn't he do it right there and then when he could clearly hear she was offended by it?
