Murray through to the 2nd round after a straight sets victory over Santoro.I thought it was a really good start to the tournament from Andy.

3rd seed Novak Djokovic went out to Murat Safin.Quite a shock but it goes to show that Safin still has a bit left in the tank yet.
1st seed Ana Ivanovic has just struggled past Natalie Sechy.I have to say that Dechy was very unlucky. |

Yes she was lucky she was one point down from going out
I was quite shocked at safin winning but i thought maybe he had a bit of a chance. Federer is currently playing at the moment |

Very comfortable victory for Andy Murray. He just seemed very calm and controlled throughout the whole match and everything flowed because of that. He's looking in very good form at the moment.
A massive upset just happened on court one.Former Wimbledon champion and 3rd seed, Maria Sharapova just lost to fellow Russian Alla Kudryavtseva in straight sets.It was a very determined performance from Alla but Maria was well off her game today and just seem to get demolarised at the errors she was making and she never really recovered fully from that. James Blake just went out and all. |

Wow.I really think this is going to be the year of the upsets.
Chris Eaton did well despite losing,he was marginally close to winning the first set but it became difficult for him after that.He still showed a lot of spirit to come back from 5-2 down in the final set to get it back to 5-4.I think he's got a lot of potential and it wont be long before he really starts going up in the rankings.I bet he's a bit overwhelmed with things at the moment, going from an unknown playing on one of the tiny courts to playing on court 1 infront of a big crowd with a whole load of support. |
