Darnell mentioned he wanted to be the type of leader that doesn’t argue and lets people do what they want- Mario accused him of not letting people play what they wanted and it hit a nerve.

I presume that’s what he meant by ‘you don’t know the problems I have’. To be honest though, he could have meant anything by it, you just presumed he was playing the victim card.

I find he has a tendency to waffle- probably didn’t even mean it to sound like that. In my opinion that isn’t ‘playing’ the victim card. It’s not like he’s actively playing that angle, so I disagree.

And I haven’t once heard him try to get sympathy that way. He seems to keep it bottled up. To be honest, I wouldn’t blame him for mentioning it occasionally, he probably has had a difficult life. That’s just my take on things…

Come on now, he didn't say "you don’t know the problems I have". He said, "You don’t know the problems I go through."

If you can't see he's talking about life in general and not the task you're even more ignorant than i thought.

The thing is that's it clear Darnell was using the victim card, you obviously have a problem admitting it.
You accuse me of something you seem to be guilty of yourself. I do accept you think Darnell was in the wrong and Mario was in the right. I don't agree but I respect your opinion.

You seem to have a problem with me not agreeing that he uses the victim card.

I don’t think he plays/ played the victim card- you do. Why should I take on your opinion that he did?! That’s ridiculous, I don’t agree with it! Lol. I respect your opinion- doesn't mean I have to agree.

Oh but you said you think you’re right so that ‘s supposed to change everything for me? I have my opinion, you have yours! You can say you’re right and I’m wrong till you’re blue in the face if you want- I simply don’t agree, ok?

It's not ok though, i would have no problem accepting your opinion on say, you're opinon of a housemate. This is completely different though, you have a problem accepting that he uses the victim card, when it's as clear as day that he does.
When you try to use different words like you did above with the words he actually said, it is even more obvious.

Changing the words of his actual quote to look at it in a different direction, very ignorant.

I should be able to state my opinion on whatever I want, without being called ignorant or being patronised by you. You don't define what I am allowed to have an opinion on and what I am not allowed an opinion on.

I didn't say you're not allowed an opinion. You changed the words on what he said to argue your point, ignoring the facts to base your opinion on something is pure ignorance. You changed the quote and it's words knowing that the proper quote does not go along with your view, why would you do that? Simple, it is ignorance.

Maybe you should read the rules. Personal insults aren't allowed- calling me ignorant for having a different opinion to you. There really is no need to be like that.

Why can't you just respect that I have a different opinion to you? I have no problem respecting your opinions even if I don't agree with them.

Acusing people of ignorance could be considered an insult and as such is against the rules.

You can't insult people on TiBB. It isn't allowed.

You can correct people but you can't call them names or insult them while doing it.

Why are you trying to make it look like im a picking on you?

I have my opinions and you have yours, i know that. You based your views on something that when the facts of the story became clear, you decided to change these facts to suit your argument. That's what i find ignorant. I've made my point, you've made yours, you stuck with it even though you are clearly in the wrong. I do not respect that. That's it on my part.

We have rules and when people join they accept the rules. We enforce them for the good of the site. That is how it works.

You are here and you agreed to the rules.

Ok, fair enough.

I didn't get the wording wrong on purpose though, I don't see how that differance would mean anything anyway?

I think Darnell says a lot of things without thinking. I don't think he was trying to play the victim card at all- I can see why you think that but I don't think he knows a lot of what he says- sometimes he just seems to go into autopilot when he's speaking! I just don't think he's the type to use it. He doesn't seem like a manipulator, I think he's really genuine so far.

It's just a differance of opinion, no big deal. Just keep the insults in check. You can disagree with people and still be civil.

firstly it's DARNELL not DARELL

and he was right, Mario was being a prick as usual, using Mickey as his little "community service" project...stop telling people that he needs help, or the first choice...he's blind, not a *****ing moron...like Mario.

is anyone on here in the Mario and Lisa fanclub? if you are could you please commence jumping off the nearest cliff thank you.

If you kept to the rules in the first place you wouldn't need to be told what to do.

Mario is the biggest twat going. His self confidence is mind blowing. He really isnt intelligent enough to realise how big-headed he comes across.

Pointing out someone is being ignorant is not an insult. Infact, it's imperative to the nature of debate that one is allowed to highlight when someone is attempting monkey-shines such as rewording quotes.

The rules say insults are not allowed, I didn't read anywhere when I signed up that the people who run the site can invent new definitions of words and concepts (such as what is an insult) incase a newbie starts winning an argument.

You should be able to prove the posters ignorance via arguments that relate to the houseguests and the game, as opposed to directly saying "you're ignorant". A good debater would know this!

And I would define insult as anything negative said about a person...and I wouldnt quite call ignorant a positive.

So in that case anything negative said against a person, their ability to argue and therefore their argument is insulting them, so you're basically painting yourselves into a corner making it against the rules to prove other peoples arguments wrong. When someone rewords quotes to suit their argument there is no other option but to pull them up on it.

This is a big brother site, let's not pretend it's a mecca for supreme debaters, that'd be rather pretentious to say the least.
