Size 14 isnt fat, I just thought she was bigger but that is probably because all the other girls are all quite thin

No, it's not ok. That was my point. I don't pass judgement on the skinny girls for being skinny, yet some people pass judgement on Bex and call her things like "fat", "chubby", "unhealthy".

The number of times I've read remarks about Rebecca's size/shape is unbelievable - and I'm not just talking about in this forum.

Is stating someone as overweight really passing judgement? I believe if a girl was too skinny, it'd be ok to say she was too skinny and hence, unhealthy- so why can't it be the same for people who are overweight and also unhealthy?

If an obese person was put in the house, I think it'd be ok to say they were unhealthy. It's not passing judgement, it's just stating the obvious.

Now I realise bex isn't really that large but she could potentially have a slightly too high bmi, so she could be unhealthy. None of us can say for sure unless we knew her weight and height...

Edit to add: I find it size-ist when people assume she's unhealthy in an overweight sense, yet nobody ever assumes any of the housemates are unhealthy in an underweight sense.

Ok, I suppose some of the other posts lack a bit of tact. That's why I was careful how I worded what I said. I think there's a chance she could have a slightly high bmi and so maybe be a bit unhealthy. Obviously, she could also be within the normal range and perfectly healthy- I just think, looking at her shape and height, it could likely be a bit high.

And if there was a stick thin girl in the house, I wouldn't think badly of anyone for saying she was unhealthy. I think it's concern more than anything with me. I'd try to tell a person if they were getting too thin or too fat- for their own good more than anything.

I agree with that. I'd also tell someone (if they were my friend) if I felt their weight was making them unhealthy.

It's one thing to be concerned and another to just take the piss out of her. I think a lot of people just call her fat to take the piss to be honest.

Some of the other forums online are pretty bad as well.

And I think people would assume housemates were unhealthy if they were too thin. I remember people saying it about Nikki. I don't think any of the girls this year are underweight though.

thats why i started this thread cus i was sick of seeing bex being called fat, chubby wot ever gets to me, my daughter gets called fat which winds me up she 11, 4 stone she wears 9/10 in dress so how is that fat, she dances 4 times a week but still gets called so if she came on here and saw wot people was calling bex you can understand why girls want to be thin
