American sizes are smaller than *BRITISH ones. A UK8 is a US4.

Yes..... so a size 12 american dress is bigger. I should have said 14 in the last post but as you can see american dresses of the same size number are bigger.

US -> UK
6 -> 8
8 -> 10
10 -> 12

It doesn't neccessarily mean the sizes are bigger, they're just labelled with a different number. They're equivalents, because, like I said, they start at 0 and we start at 4/6.

And technically there isn't a UK0 - size 0 is just an accepted term nowadays for waif like, very skinny models and so on. A real size 0 is a UK4.

It's all the junk they eat and the rubbish they put into their meat due to their farming methods and love of big bottomed beef cattle that makes the women larger. In order for them to feel like they are normal they developed a dress size scale that makes them feel good.

We all know everything bigger in America, they tell us this all the time, and this includes people.

I don't think you understand though - what I'm saying is the numbers are different but the sizes are the same.

I know this because I'm a size 6/8UK and when I went to America I was a 2/4US. The dress sizes are equivalent with different numbers.

There is no way Bex is a size 12, she is a 14/16.... in some shops she would be able to squeeze into a 12. Like someone else said in this thread shops vary in what they class sizes. I always by from a certain high street sore because I can get into a lower size than I would be able to fit in in other shop.

Oh and someone asked why she would lie.....errrrrrmmmm..... most women lie about their weight and dress size.

before I got caught up in a discussion about American dress sizes.

All I wanted was it confirming that an American size 12 is a bigger dress than the equivalent UK size 12..... i.e it take more material to make a US size 12 than a UK size 12 because it is a big dress.

There is no such thing as size zero in the uk. We just call it size zero because americans do and the british are a group of sheep, who lick americans bums

A size zero over here is size 4. We dont go lower than 4. Unless you class the double size zero which is new... that would be size 2.
