She's best known for being a good actress through HSM anyway. And based on what I know from America, she isn't actually hated. She may have been given a bad rep in the past but at the end of the day she's a young girl and that shouldn't be held against her anymore.

Since Disney has given her a second chance, I can't see why some viewers can't either. She still has a solid fanbase as far as I'm aware, mainly in the teen group but maybe she'll branch out. She has a nice voice, and some of her songs from her first album were good. I hadn't heard anything about this one - as has been said, it wasn't publicised as much, so it's probably good that it didn't do so well. Good luck to her for the future.

By the way, the title implies disaster because of quality, not sales. I haven't heard the album, so I don't know if it's good or not, but the article's only basis for saying that the album is bad is that it didn't sell well.

I have one of Vanessa's songs from a few years back and I think it's great. As for why this CD didn't sell well, I think it's just that people don't know about it. I love Vanessa but this is the first time I even knew there was a CD coming out.
