Indeed it was insensitive. Nicole it seems has contempt for Rachel. I have never been much of a Rachel fan. However Rachel is a sensitive soul and for me sensitive people are beautiful people.......She has my support...

As much as I love Rachel, she is going to be a teacher, she needs to toughen up a bit, I know shes a genuinely nice person, but what if there is a misbehaved child in her class?(like there was in my class allthrough primart school who made the teacher cry everyday). She will need to be strict too, she has to control her emotions, I know its hard though.

I would't worry about her sensitivty interfering with her teaching ability..She is a tough cooky when confronted by humans......Rex has upset her but she held herself together and let off emotions in private in the diary room....

She will make a good teacher because if it's one thing todays youngsters need to be given an example of it's sensitivity........

I love the way Rachel can be emotional, vulnerable and yet dignified too. Not a drama queen.

Meanwhile (did you see?) Nicole just smirked when she heard the goldfish had died. Horrible person!

How dare you even say its funny. Would you laugh if people laughed when you died? I know humans love to treat other earthlings like ****... A goldfishes life doesn't compare to yours in your mind, but they were put on this earth just like you. A living thing, that she cared for.

Sorry, but I guess its just me, Im a sensetive person but Im sorry I think that a human dying and a fish dying is completely different. All my fish were eaten, but I would neevr cry about it.

i said her reaction was funny because she was crying and then laughed at herself afterwards for crying. I did not laugh at the fish.

Rachel's reaction was not over the top.

Yes there were tears but she didnt burst into crying like when she chose Hell's letters over hers.

The only over reaction I see is that people think the way she went on was uncalled for, but she only cried she didnt bawl, her pet fish died, the fish that BB gave to look after, she didn't just feel the pain of the death of the fish, but she did feel like a failure, having a little goldfish's life in her hands but it just gets taken away.

Plus she was confused, she was reading the instructions and followed every rule

It was rather over the top. Fair enough if she'd had it for a long time then she may feel upset but she had it for barely 2 days!

I know but don't forget that the BB house is a pressure cooker of emotions. Even the smallest things get blown out of proportion......That's why we watch it is it not!!!!!!

LOL ... funny thread. Goldfish seem to have brought out the funny in lots of posters, on lots of threads.

Do Goldfish have feelings? I actually want to know the answer to this, because I could potentially feel very sad that a poor little innocent living being has died.

Rachel seemed to know Heaven like a friend.

To be honest I think it shows that she's playing a game. I can believe someone getting upset about a goldfish dying but Rachel eats fish (along with cows, pigs, and chickens) all the time so it's hard to see her realistically getting that upset over a single goldfish.

Goldfish live long lives if given the right conditions ie... if they live in oxygenated water. The fish would not have died if there was an oxygenating filter. The record longest living goldfish is 40 years!!! My two have been living for 5 years , bought them for 98p each from my local pet shop as tiddlers (about 3 cms long).. both are now over 10 inches long and very beautiful, everyone comments on them. They never lack oxygen because the large filter pumps loads of air bubbles through the whole time. Ok enough of my beautiful fish...

One good thing to come out of this ... the VILE Nicole was shown in all her glory, wasn't she? Someone whack that girl with a cold kipper when she gets out of the house, please!
