But why do you not like us in Elimination? We're not harming anyone or offnding anyone, we have our own thread so don't bug everyone else with the game.

You're off the christmas card list this year!

I think these 'cliques' are harmless and I really don't see the problem with them.
Your not new LOL
OH I thought you meant generally everyone lol. What a misunderstanding lol.

You're back on the christmas card list!

Its just like they have all of their jokes from the thread and then take them into other threads.

I'd hate to think that I am in a forum clique, and I want all members to think if they ever have a problem or just want a general chat, I'm always here for them, I don't want people to think I belong to one group.

I've noticed a few cliques, but as long as they play nice and stuff, it's fine. But the problem with cliques is that "outsiders" can often feel they can't talk to some members because they are in a certain clique, but I'm sure that doesn't happen here. I try best to stay out of cliques and just be a neutral member. There's nothing wrong with a group of friends, but when they begin to maybe gang up on other members, that's when it gets nasty.

what I cant understand is... if people annoy anyone so much,, why not ignore them?

Its a simple enough button to click on,, I have 3 on ignore I never ever wanted to, but since I have and I cant see or read there messages, life here still goes on nicely and its less stressfull not being wound up all the time.

Why dont all the people who dont like these "cliques" do the same?
or is it a cry for help for not being in one that you really really want to...
If thats the case why not ask to be involved more?

either way making a thread to whinge about other people use of the forum just seems a silly and useless waste of time.

Come on, some people need to grow up a bit

yeah if somebody has a problem with me I'd rather they politely say so rather than use messages in signatures etc. I would rather know so I can amend the problem.

But I don't know many that go out of their way to insult or annoy other members.

yeah I ignore one person because they're posts always irritate me SO much, I don't get into slagging matches with them or anything. I doubt they even have noticed tbh :/

Maybe people dont want to ignore them? People can be nice on their own and stuff but then in a group can be totally different.

The ignore thing is pointless because some people make valid points whether they're in a clique or not and you would just miss those points. But in threads they often can be uncomfortable when they go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off topic to discuss an inside joke or something, and someone wants to add their opinion but its just pointless because people will overlook it because of this other conversation going on.

I'm not saying I dislike the cliques, which I don't, but they can get pretty irritating.

They don't annoy me unless the whole thread starts to get invaded. I'm not in any. The members who I talk to on MSN from here aren't either. Thats probs why.

If you're feeling intimidated the best thing to do is to report the incident to a member of the moderating patrol group.
