Most of the latest ones are crap because they are all high budget hollywood ****; but some like Die Hard, Bourne series (high budget but just... great), a few of the Bond movies are good.

Nope... any action films bore the hell out of me. Decent films to me are captivating stories that take you on a journey and amazing things happen where you can get lost in. For example, Stardust. That was an amazingly put together story, or V for Vendetta.

But things like 'Transformers' is just dead cinema... might as well just show a pineapple being kicked about for an hour and a half.

Ohhh I know someone in V for Vendetta (like an extra had the tiniest part ever)
My claim to fame knowing someone who was in it for like less for a second
And I hated Transformers as well.

That's the point of action films, their ussually very simple but fun and easy to watch. Of course not all action films are brain dead (Points to the Bourne Trilogy).

I like action films because of they're conventional simplicity. I wouldn't say many are my all time favourites (with the exceptions of The Crow, Sin City and Terminator 2) but they are very needed in cinema. Dramas can be draining and hard to watch, consider action a form of light enetertainment (in most cases).
