I think you misunderstood my point.

I was simply commenting on your wording which seemed to void your entire point. You put forward your argument, but then finished it off with a seemingly nonsensical point.

It didn't sound like you were calling racists losers, to which I would agree. The wording implied you were saying anyone who was outraged by the story were losers and therefore racist.... and this is why I asked you to clear it up.

Yeh course it does, because they made an issue of it and it causes racial tension especially where there is a high demand for services/resources.

So you are saying that because the story starts off by saying "An Afghan mother", this has been made an issue of and it causes racial tension?

That was the only time it was mentioned in the whole of the article.

Just so I am clear.

I see it being made an issue in this thread by some people and detracting from the main point of the story. It seems to be made more into an issue here than it was in the paper in the first place.

I think the mention of the word "Afghan" was unnecessary and perhaps pandering to racist thoughts, but to say it's racist in itself would be a little too far to make it the main point of the story, in my opinion.

yeh thats enough! and they mention that they came to Britain 7 years ago and shes unemployed etc. It already caused Tom to think that the benefit system favours immigrants, how many others are going to take that stance. also thats why I said "bordering" on

Spike made a thread about being nearly abducted. You were not concerned for his welfare. The fact that he had called the family "foreign" was more important to you and that was the only thing you commented on.

A thread was made about Jade planning her own funeral due to her (possibly terminal) cancer. The only thing you found compelled to post about was about the whole racist furore surrounding CBB5.

And now we have a thread about the fact that a council is forking out £12,000 a month for a family's rent. And what do we know. Up you pop again. And what do you have to add to the story. That's right. The fact that they mentioned she is Afghan.

Why not try commenting on the actual story and maybe researching your facts before you feel the urge to post. You may then add something of means to the conversation.

Now answer me this ... why did the report add the word "afghan"?... if she's been living in the UK that long why call her "afghan". All I'm saying is that the reporter wants to get as big a readership as he can... that includes giving the rednecks a bone.

Just facts.

Spike did say "foreigners" as I said. And he actually described them as a "dirty scummy foreign family" which I said I found impolite but not necessarily racist.

Everyone is entitled to an opion but you seem to rubbish Sticks post as "waffle".

As for "that racist loser" Jade admitting she was racist, I suggest you visit that separate thread for my comments with the facts.

I agree it wasn't necessary to mention she was Afghan, but I don't find it overtly racist.

This whole thing has been blown out of proportion.

I just wish I could see some more constructive comments coming from you which I can honestly say I haven't so far.

The only reason here race is mentioned is to compound the thought that she has no right to claim as she has put nothing in. People tend to for get we has a race within the UK that claim from the day they are born till the day they die, having put nothing in. The Under class. They are born and bred UK citizens who have never worked a day in there life and never intend to. Yet they expect, and are housed, clothed and fed from cradle to grave by the tax payer. Some of whom just happen to be non UK citizens.

Back to the main point.

It is a scandal that any council should waste the tax payers money in this way. £12000 a month!!! Even with London weighting this is taking the piss.

My other half shares a house in an ok part of Leicester. The 3 of them pay £600 per calender month in total. This includes all bills. £12000!!!

The system is just wrong if it allows this to go on, no mater what the race of the receiver.

Just had a quick look at large properties in Leicestershire fro rent. This one is 6 bedrooms at £1500 p.c.m.

used to be Im in the shires now. Grew up in highfields then moved on to clarry park!
