I thought it was one of the only examples of an X Factor act truly taking matters into their own hands (i.e. taking a song and molding it to their own standards)

That, and I didn't want to be another "Leona..." poster, all of her performances were good, but everyone else has already praised her to high heaven

Shes my favourite ever contestant but I'm glad she didn't win- she wouldn't have lasted in the charts and would have been branded as a reality TV flop. Instead shes been really successful in the West End and she does LK Today's X Factor thing. Arguably shes ended up more successful than Shayne.
