i think there may be another reason behind her not singing but maybe they didnt want to say publicly.

singing for 3 minutes? and she doesnt belt it out anyway, it wouldnt have done her any harm. when singers cancel whole tours, fair enough, but no way.

But if she came out and sung, and it sounded awful, and half way through she would of probably of stopped singing anyway because it would of hurt what would of been the point in that? She couldn't even talk properly in her VT.

Very true, even if she had sung, and displayed that she had laryngitis - sympathy vote would have ensured she got through. If she had pulled off a performance sounding healthy, she'd be through. Diana was always going to be safe, and her not being there tonight had some kind of knock on effect on the rest of the competition IMO (Laura being in the bottom two)

its an incredibly scripted show and the contestants are told what to say in their vt's. stories from ex contestants come out all the time, so it wouldn't surprise me if there was a board they are looking at when they are being interviewed and it just looks like talking space.

she could have been told to play on it, you never know.

God people GET over it! Do you honestly think she would of gone if she was included in the phone vote? Does it really matter anymore? She was ill let's face it, how do we know that this bonfire didn't happen a few days before?

They wouldn't get away with having a false doctor on misdiagnosing her. What would be the friggin' point? She'd have stayed anyway?

also, other than using one of those little cameras they can't actually tell how bad it is. they're inflamed anyway, and the shot you saw of the doc looking down her throat means nothing. if you have a slightly inflamed larynx and you talk croaky they have to diagnose it as laryngitis

My last post as this thread is annoying me... LOL

She was advised not to do the show... she didn't do it (A good move IMO as its Best of British next week and that will be her week).

Okay she was caught screaming on bonfire night... whatev.
Just because she did that doesn't take away the fact she was ill and she didn't preform... end please...

I have tonsilitis a lot due to an operation i had on my throat, nose and ears when I was younger. When I get it, It ussually comes out of the blue, My throat tingles for a day or two and then BAM I'm down and out for a week or two. maybe it was similar for her, a tingly throat for a few days and then the laryngitis?
