Shame on channel 4, they DON'T listen to the real fans of Big Brother
Their a business. Big Brother, in itself, is a business. Business stays afloat by appealing to the masses in their market. I hate to rain on the parade, but most of the 3 million plus Big Brother viewers dont care about the live feed being gone as the amount of live clips on E4 will probably serve to please them. Shocking, I know, not everybody sits around watching Big Brother all day.

Channel 4 is always going to cater to the masses because it just makes sense. Any protest or petition is very unlikely to work. When the trouble involved in keeping something going is more than the profit of people watching, your onto a loser.

24/7 live feed does not mean i will sit and watch them 24/7, it means i can pop in and out to view them as i wish at a time i want to, now that choice of viewing freedom has been taken away, real BB fans understand that.

As we know the real Big Brother died years ago soon as Channel 4 turned it into a ratings needy *****.

Did I say you sit and watch Big Brother 24/7? No, I did not. My point still stands as the effort required to keep the stream up would probably outweigh the amount of people watching. Live streaming viewership has been going down for quiet awhile anyway.

Also, theirs no such thing as a 'real' Big Brother fan man for crying out loud. And if you think Big Brother was never about ratings, your dead wrong. Every prime time show on a major network is a ratings needy *****. That includes the first series, to a much lesser extent.

If the shows were not getting ratings, they would not be on the air. I doubt Channel 4 care much for the philosophies behind the social experiment facotor that has enriched our lives so much.

Yes i know how the game works, don't mean i have to agree with it but thats how it is... But end of the day the loss of 24/7 live feed is not the end of the world, just loss of viewing freedom for the BB fans that we have came custom to over the years.

Trust me I dont agree with it either, but thats the messed up land of television for you. It is a definate loss of viewing freedom but your right, it is not the end of the world.

Some people think on here they can just march into Channel 4 towers and expect them to give a **** about what they have to say.

I'm sure ad revenue would pay for the 24/7 live feed anyway, live feed was never about ratings, many do want to watch a non scripted BB. It does feel Channel 4 have gone backwards insted of taking the format forwards, it's turning into some kind of itv show! But money is always a huge factor, even more so in todays world.

I dont think ad revenue was a source of income with the old live feeds, because they just shared the ad breaks of whatever E4 show was on anyway, did they not?

Yeah the live feed went into the E4 ads, but i don't think the E4 multiscreen feed had any ads, ahhh happy days.
Channel 4 seem to strip more away from the viewers each year, maybe a sign of the times, even itv's i'm a celeb get me out of here had no live feed on itv2.

Even with the knowledge before hand that it is not going to work?

Im all for hope but desperation is not a suitable replacement.
