I'll miss the old cast but if they stuck with them it could get stale like other 3rd series have done in the past.

Apart from Pandora, were any of these characters introduced in Effy's episode in series 2?

Digital Spy give the premiere the thumbs up and say within minutes we've forgotten Tony & co., but I'd still have preferred a transitional third season to phase out the old cast and bring in the new. There is so much to learn about some characters - not so much Tony & Sid, but the likes of Anwar and Jal who were always really in the background.

Jal was a lot less shaded in the 2nd series though, and personally I didn't really like her character that much anyway.

Maxxie and Anwar needed ALOT more attention though.

I'm giving the new cast a chance, as I wasn't too obsessive over the first cast, however awesome they were. I really don't want it to flop.

They spent too much time in series 2 focusing on Michelle and Sid; I didn't mind them focusing on Tony because you wanted to see his recovery in full detail, that was nice, but they spent too much time on Michelle and Sid being self centered and depressed, I also really hated what they did to Cassie, and I didn't really get the point in introducing Sketch, because as soon as they'd introduced her she was forgotten and never really used again. They should have spent more time looking at Chris and Jal's relationship, and given us some more detail about Maxxie and Anwar.



However I'm still really looking forward to the new series - I loved Effy, so I think it'll be good, but I'm not really sure how they'll justify her having "friends" because in the first series, she had that loud mouthed friend (I've forgotten her name - Lucy??) who she obviously didn't like, and in the second series she had Pandora following her around, but that was it (and that guy who kept trying to get in her pants) so I'd like to see how this all pans out.

Effy is brilliant already.

Freddy seems very arrogant. Something they tend to put in a lot of male characters these days. But he is hot. I think.

Definately a girls cast. The boys are stupid.

like on series 2 they showed it on e4 on a monday and channell 4 on a thursday
