I disagree. School is as much as a social experience as it is about academic education.

Ditto. Cept for the last thing. Theres two bi girls in my year. I don't mind they're lesbians but they're always making out in the form room and its innapropriate.
Why is it inappropriate would it be if one of them was a boy?
Yeh. I don't like people snogging over excesively in public. Like me and my girlfriend go like round like the corner or sumin to make out, like privately.
I don't, boy or girl.
But fair enough your personal preference is yours. I just wondered if it was because they're bi that it was wrong, but I understand your view.

Because everybody knows about Straight relationships and straight people can be themselves everyday, while LGBT people have to stay quiet and not be themself.

How old are you?

I'm just saying, when your at school you're at an age when you begin to learn stuff about yourself and others in a social context. And I'm straight, just not ignorant and rude.

HArdly celebrated in the UK. Its way more conservative over there than the US. If it is celebrated its the rare club, thats private and has nothing to do with the school. Its not organised by schools.
Personally I think its ridiculous, it has no business in academics whatsoever.

True but why should they have to be intimidate by Straight students when ifthey were educated then they could get on really well. Its not a celebration as such, like BHM isn't, its a time toremember or learn about a certain topic.

I agree with Annie. If everyone went about celebrating that they're gay, lesbian or bisexual in my school I think I'd run and hide somewhere.

I agree, about 80% of people in my school are homophobic, we wont ever celebrate things like this, but they did teach sexuality in RE last month(only to Yr 11s though as we are more mature) and we just finished the topic.

Exactly!the main reason i am proud is because i can be more of myself around school. I don't want to acty stright in class because im not confertable with it. Thats going to stop me learning. That's not fair. We celebrate it for everyone to be equal. People can't be equal if people go round taking the piss out of everyones sexualities. In my school 'he Gays' get bullied, they don't have any friends. THATS NOT FAIR JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE GAY! WHAT!? WHY!?
