How do you know "there was Not Black Men running round" in "Robin Hood" times. What you don't seem to get is that your understanding of the racial mix in middle age england comes from nasty 1950's 60's movies that were as historically accurate as the new Robin Hood version is... ie not at all. So unless you can bring some facts besides typing "FACT" at the end of your rant then your wasting our time.

It is probably just basing it off the movie that Kevin Costner starred in, his best-friend in it was black.... I don't really care though, Robin Hood is a show for kids, and I'm sure kids won't care if they decided to cast a black actor instead of a white actor.

.....There's no mobiles in Robin Hood, Like Ange said there's been black people in England since 150 AC is it so unbelievable that we wouldn't see a black person in Robin Hood?

I think you've just got an issue with the fact that a black person is playing a typically 'white' role and you're trying to desperately tie it in to some historical agenda which has failed miserably. If I was you i'd just give in because you are looking incredibly foolish.

Like I've mentioned before, Ange pointed out the fact that black people have been present in England for hundreds of years is it so implausible that one of Robin Hood's men could be black? of course it isn't.It's just as usual your using your' Arista' facts to try and force across your argument.

So? at the end of the day it's a light family show, do you spend your time watching Sponge Squarepants to point out the inaccuracies in that too?

What gets me is that this thread wouldn't exist if robin Hood aired on a non BBC channel. It's really annoying Arista, everyone knows you hate BBC and think they are the devil incarnate. There's no use in these threads trying to sway us.

Ultimately if you don't like that fact there's a black person in Robin Hood don't watch it's simple as. Unless you just watch it so you can complain which is ultimately pathetic and sad.
