See before I joined this forum I diddn`t even know that hip hop and r'n'b was considered 'chavvy' where I live only dance music is chavvy,**** like Cascada and Basshunter

It's representative of the music interests of people in our country - people were complaining about the wave of indie music (I was one of them), that's passed for now, so the charts are full of clubbing tracks - it'll change again. I don't really like any of the examples of "chavvy" artists listed, but I do like that kind of music more than Lady GaGa etc...

Haven't heard of half of them and don't plan to listen to their music. I don't care about the charts, I listen to music that I like and that's all I care about.

The only thing Chavyy here, is the Opening Post to be honest. Insulting a whole genre because you dont like it, and expecting people to listen to the stuff that you do! FYI, none of the music that you mentioned is considered chavy, I would guess its probably the stuff you listen to. But then again, I wouldnt label any sort of music, because I pretty much listen to anything.

I agree - so much of that music consisted of talented guitar players, appalling singers and lyrics about random girls that the singer met one time - absolute rubbish in my opinion. I love club music so much these days

Surely if people like it they can like it. I'm sure some people think what you listen to is crap but thats not up to them cause you like it. I hate it when people tell an opinion and act like its the complete right opinion. And Sarah you are so right about the "I listen to the music I like".
