A touch of frost but without the brains........The drama or the script or the acting......Just as you would find in a soap such as coronation street.....Put simply a program that has no class or anything remotely resembling class....

These days maybe (I only catch the ocassional episode as it's usually repeated ad-nauseum and I don't have time to check which ones are new or not) but it was at one time a true classic.

Last year's was new, this is a repeat. It may take a hundred thousand or two casual viewers from BB, but no more *fingers crossed*.
What about BBC1? Will The Calendar Girls be competition?
As far as I'm aware it's a documentary not the film. In which case, no, different audience.
But BB9 final was up against Midsomer Murders which has different audience and they tied!

I haven't watched Midsomer in years, but it was never aimed at any particular target group when I watched it and judging by the ratings it manages just for a repeat, it's very popular (no idea why, it lost it after a while).

A one off documentary about a couple of W.I. ladies on the other hand is definitely not in anyway attractive to 16-34s.

Lol true.

But maybe the doc on ITV2 with Katie and Peter will take away some 16-34s? It's been getting over 1 million recently, and so could take a few hundred thousand away from BB.

The average age of the BB viewer has increased since the first series by 13 years. Younger viewers aren't coming in to replace the older ones.
