What is to stop 'young folks' as you put them from going into any of the Serious Debate threads? And why did you say he would want this thread?

Ben, in all seriousness, I find it offensive that you would call a suicidal person cowardly.

Walk a mile in their shoes before you judge them. Their state of mind is one of desperation, and there's nothing cowardly about that.

Gimmickista, get your firewall checked. I think you've caught a virus. How are you to tell anyone what they can or can not post or discount their views? Who are you to act so patronising to everyone? You've never added anything to this site apart from annoyance, ignorance and contempt. The people who you try to shut up have valid well thought out views, they don't reply in pointless haikus.

On the topic at hand, I find Suicide weak and selfish. I've never once thought about it and I have zero symapthy for the people who do it. It's the families where my sympathy lies.

EDIT: Thinking about it more I have sympathy for people who have terminal diseases and they are trying to save themselves the pain but in most cases that comes under Euthanasia.

I am staying on topic. After all, I WAS talking about this thread directly, and why you said Sod_James would want it.

Your no stranger to going off topic yourself, going in to threads and just posting 'There Is No God'.

Your excellent at dodging questions and being a hypocrite. Ever consider becoming a politician?

You've never once thought about it. I assume this is because your life has never reached a point where everything seems hopeless. You are lucky. I hope you never reach that point.

The views in this thread are bothering me, so in the interests of not getting personal, I'm going to exit.

On the topic of the actual thread, I agree with Linda. Their are thousand of people who commit suicide each year. It might be cool to diss them, but im sure their not ALL cowards. If you kill yourself because you listened to a Judas Priest album then yeah, great, two less shelve stockers in the world, but I am not going to pass judgement on what is a huge problem.

I am of the assumption that nobody starts out in life WANTING to die. Various social problems push many people to the edge. Many people cant handle the status based, money grabbing world we live in. Their is no excuse for suicide, but I do feel great sympathy for EVERYONE involved.

I can easily talk of grim things because i have no problem discussing any subject. weva it be grim or not. im a very open person and will not shy away from discussing any subject.

and connecting with my Aura? i find stuff like that ridiculous.

Never. I have never thought about it because my life is awesome so far. Of course I was hurt, a lot, but hey, I've learnt from my bad experiences.

Death doesn't scare me, but the idea of now knowing what the world will be without me does scare me. Like, I won't be here in year 3000 and that's rubbish. I feel like I'm missing something big.

wasnt gonna put this on here but here we go i have been at the point before where i have very nearly commited suicide myself in no way what so ever was i being selfish or cowardly i was weak in terms of the depression i was dealing with taking over completely of my life but i was not weak there is a difference those who judge clearly have never ever been at the point in life where it all seems so bleak and dark try dealing with depression which is a common cause of suicide before judging people who do commit suicide under the blanket lets judge people terms

Mich.. I agree ... and I think the bravest thing in the world anyone can do is take their own life.

Nobody can imagine the mental anguish that person is in at that precise point in time.

Throwing around words like 'weak' and 'cowardly' just shows a simple lack of understanding.

Again, I'm trying not to get personal, but this subject is one which provokes an emotional response.

I will actually leave this thread now.. (damn my fingers for clicking it again! LoL)
