I won't do it everyday.

Just on major occasions.

This is a big occasion because it's one of the lowest ratings in history.

I'm not making anythign dramatic.
What about if it breaks 3m, or even 4m? Will you make a thread then saying its back on track or are you only focused on negatives? And if you're not making anything dramatic then you wouldn't be using tabloid headlines as your thread titles.
The show is expected to get around 3 million viewers. That is what Phil Edgar Jones said in the Sun before the launch. So if it did get that, there would be no need for a new thread as it would be rating as people before the series launch expected.

There is a ratings thread and whilst I am very itnerested in the ratings aspect of BB, some really aren't and i can see a fair bit of annoyance from others if you do this for the next 90-odd days
i love you Joel

Then don't read or respond to the thread then.

I don't care about many threads on here, so I don't read or contribute to them.

Maybe you should do the same.

If it almost (or does) break 4m then its rating better than expected so could deserve a thread. But after a poor weekend if tonight goes over 3m will you tomorrow be posting "RATINGS BACK ON FORM, BIG BROTHER NO LONGER IN TURMOIL"?

PEJ said that the show should be getting 3m viewers on average, therefore he must be expecting higher for the eviction shows (Friday 9pm) as those are usually the biggest of the week. Therefore, a 4m rating for that would be nearly expected anyways, although from now on I admit it would be a decent achievemtn after the poor start made.

But 3m isn't good form. It's average. No need to write a thread about it going back to levels it expected.

If it went to 4m, yes I probably would.

Was pure stupidity putting it on against the apprentice final. Most people who had watched it all the way through would watch the final ( i didn`t though just going to watch it now ).

Well are we surprised? The powers that be seem to be setting it up to fail.
No live feed (which a lot of people love), too many HMs to get to know initially and then this long drawn-out making HMs official process - which to be frank I have found quite boring.
As soon as we get to a managable number of HMs and their personalities start to show through it will improve as far as I'm concerned.
Personally I don't care about the live feed, but many BB fans do, so if they really care about what we think and what makes the show popular, they might have a re-think about that.

Everyone who is saying "Just stop moaning and watch it", you need to get this in your heads:

The Channel 4 "cut off" point is 1.8. This means if ratings sink lower than the designated cut off then the show will be axed.

Last night got 1.9 mil. We have 14 weeks to go.

Can you not see why people are worried?

Do half the people here work for the C4 head-in-sand, positive spin department?

BB is dying. There is no way it can survive without C4 taking radical action. End of.

And the launch was so low because...

And the first h/l got so few viewers because...

And Saturday's show was watched by only 2.2 million because...

No Apprentice or significant competition on those nights.

Oh dear. Can't you just enjoy the show without the constant moaning at C4, E4 or the website? So what if you think its a 'dying show' - I DON'T CARE. I'm trying to enjoy what we've been given without attacking anything related to the show.

For me, it's not C4 that's ruining the show - it's you people. I'm sick of constant "I WANT LIVE FEED BACK", "WHERES THE UPDATES?" and "BB IS DEAD - RATINGS LOW" threads. Get the **** over it. It's a TV show for one, its not to be taken so seriously. You know really know why last nights ratings were so low, but its any old excuse to prove that Big Brother is dying so that you feel C4 will take some action to do what you want.

I'm not surprised viewers have turned off in recent years, it's not exactly the same but its a still show which provides C4 with consistant ratings good enough for their network. If you beat the show too much, it'll go and I cannot wait to see the people on here moaning that it's gone for good.

Some people actually enjoy Big Brother for what it is - a reality TV show that gives you something to watch each night through the summer. Just a bit of fun. Taking it so seriously is where all the problems begin.

No, it won't. You know it'll get worse and worse. Look at the constant flood of unhappy people posting on the official C4 site. BB10 is haemorrhaging viewers at an alarming rate.

Because if C4 aren't beaten with a bloody big stick, they'll sit back on their clueless arses until the damage is so great, there will be no way back for the show.

Theres no way BB can survive with a mainstream audience either. BB is past it as the show it was, its time to face it. No matter what they do it won't change anything.

And between 2.3m and 2.5m watched most BB9 Saturday shows. Not really much of a difference.

5.1m launch- might be lowest but still higher than last years final and still won its slot by quite some margin
