Sree is such a dickhead. Even my 7 year old brother knows you cook bacon before you eat it! Biggest fake in the house along with Charlie! Lisa's face when she bit it was priceless though!!

I also thought the bacon in a bacon sandwich was raw...?

I can understand why sree was probably under the same impression.

I dont eat bacon but whenever I have seen a bacon sandwhich on a shelf at the shop it looks raw.

Bacon always looks cooked to my knowledge, and always is.

Yeah, real easy mistake... if you've never seen ham before...

Missed this one, still, classic, couldn't have happened to a nicer person. I used to have a lezza friend who looks uncannily like Lisa, and was even the same kind of aggressive loud mouth. She actually enjoyed eating RAW sausages, and Fray Bentos pies. MMMMMMMmmmmm.

Sree definitely knew what he was doing, he's an attention seeking idiot. I'm a vegetarian and I know that bacon needs to be cooked and that it looks different to ham and surely he couldn't mistake it? everything is labeled clearly so no excuses and if he was a student in England he would definitely have come across housemates/friends eating it, bacon, bread and beans are the core diet of students with hangovers?!?!?!

Hindus don't eat beef they do eat pork. I don't know what your point is doublewit. You are trying to defend Sree, who to date has behaved like a total cock. The only 'funny' thing about serving a raw bacon sandwich is the fact that he served it to Lisa, which was a real insult and a stab in the back, considering how patient she has been with him. Oh well, luckily Lisa's face is more or less in a permanent scowl anyway.

Im not Hindu.
If he was happy to handle bacon.... and the other hand avoided being touched by the hoof.

It looks like an excuse. Although he said it instinctively.

I KNOW you're not Hindu - where did it say I thought you were?

Yup, Cleuso, looks like it was an excuse. Sree makes excuses instinctively, cos he's been namby- pambied by his mother all his life.

Ok I probably shouldnt assume that just because I thought bacon was eaten raw in a sandwich.. sree would be under the same impression.

NO HE WOULDN'T!!!! Wtf are you talking about??? As someone else rightly pointed out, his exposure to student life at the "university" he is constantly going on about would have without a doubt introduced him to the concept of bacon, and given that he is Hindu I would be very surprised to find he had never before eaten it anyway.

This conversation is pathetic - as is Sree, and as is anyone who has got to being an adult, and still doesn't know one cooks bacon, and/or thinks carrots grow on trees.

lol.... my purpose wasnt to defend him. I read this thread and I discovered that bacon is eaten cooked. I felt the chances were Sree made the same mistake. The alternative is that Sree deliberately served raw bacon knowing it was wrong. Now why would he do that. What would be the point. He wouldnt get away with it.

The point would be that it was mischievous Sree who was just playing a joke, to get attention. He does it quite often.

I actually havent seen the bacon incident...I didnt watch the first several days of BB10 so I cant judge.
btw I wasnt arguing with you Pixie...there was a misunderstanding. A few posts ago we posted about the same time. I wasnt saying you mentioned I was Hindu. I meant that you will have to ask a Hindu about their view on Pork cause I didnt know. lol

Incidentally, this is slightly away from the point of this thread, and I'm not a veggie, but I think if people were aware of how pigs are reared - and other livestock - they probably wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Free range & organic - the way forward. Those animals for the medieval banquet were probably the cleanest meat the housemates had ever eaten. If that had been a factory chicken it would be covered in sores and bald patches. There was recently a doc on one of C4's channels - More 4 or something, about pig rearing. I haven't yet seen it, but the advert was enough to stop me buying cheap bacon. I love bacon and am not rich, but I would rather go meat-free on a Sunday morning than eat that meat, all full of antibiotics and parasites - it is disgusting.
