Because I'm a fan and I tried to get him votes and support. I don't have direct control over who people choose, vote for, etc.

Who is to say that the majority of forumites are even typical BB voters. Most BB fans don't even post on forums, and wouldn't.

But some clearly are. When they 'hate' guys off TV literally, refer to them as sex pests, ask Qs like 'Are you Indian' then think you must be, etc.
