Well, If those 5 refuse to nominate but Freddie does then the new HMs will have failed their task but the HMs who didn't nominate will still have to be punished?

the way i understand it is that bb wants freddie and noirin ONLY up for eviction, so the public chooses one or the other, so if they refuse to nominate and all are up for eviction then the newbies have failed as there will be more than freddie and noirin up

Which makes me wonder, what happens to the people that have been nominated by the Hm's that do nominate, do they go up also, i mean the likelyhood is that they will be up anyway, but what if Lisa,Freddie,Roddy vote in such a way that see's one of those three with votes, one of them may be up due to normal nomination activity. Or would BB forget about normal noms with so many people up.

Or have i mis-understood what's going to happen if the newbies fail their task.

BB should deem that the new Hm's have failed the task as it was in the rules that they could not let the other Hm's know they had a secret mission?

Only the 5 newbies go up and they punish the No noms 5 in another way, may be by being nominated next week.

If Noirin and Freddy get themselves put up for eviction then the newbies have NOT failed their task. Its not the newbies fault if the HMs get suspicious. They are always suspicious anyhow!

As long as the newbies didn't tell them what the task is then they haven't done anything wrong.

If Noirins and Freddies nominations come about via that suspicion then the newbies have kinda done their job. Albeit in a roundabout way!

I guess it depends on how BB chooses to interpret the secret task. BB specifically said that the task was to get the old housemates to "nominate" Freddie and Noirin for eviction. If BB puts them up for eviction as a punishment, they were NOT nominated.

BB producers will intepret the rules exactly as they choose. They will do this on the basis of which interpretation they think will give them the best ratings in the future. However with my lawyers hat on, the publication of clarification of alternative scenarios on the website ties their hands.

Not necessarily. Why? BB told Hira she must not tell any of the originals about the secret mission. That's all, the others are not bound by this.

I don't think it was explained fully for a reason BB want to twist it because some people think its:
- the 5 new ones (cause they've sussed it)
- the 5 new ones + the originals with the most nominations (if they don't pick noirin and/or halfwit)
- noirin vs halfwit (if they pull it off)
- noirin vs. halfwit vs. whoever ties with them (if it goes through)
- everyone who chooses not to nominate
- all originals go up (if the newbies pull it off)
I guess we will just have to find out later, the task is a bit weak to be honest. Also it's not exactly fair if Noirin or Halfwit leaves this week I think if they do get nominated and the newbies passed the task then all originals should be up, because it didn't really matter who Hira picked.

The housemates ALWAYS clock on to secret missions. Does this usually result in them being failed? No!

The housemates are just not allowed to know what the secret mission is. Thats the point.

The out come is pretty confusing now, but what you say makes the most sence to me in regards how it can turn out. As Freddie/Norine were NOT nominated........unless Lisa, Rodrigo does..oh gee it so confusing, BB have many options on this.

Though the task suggested that Freddie/Noirin have to be nominated by Housemate....So if BB have to put them up for refusing to nominate, then I guess the task is classed as a fail. I am pretty confused, though it does not take much lol

Just have to wait and see.

The old housemates will nominate soon as they get a warning they will all cave in,and as for them sussing out the new housemates have a task its not rocket science new housemates always get a task but as long as the old housemates dont get exactley what it is the new housemates should be ok.
