A goodish season to be honest, Brendon and Rachel were a scream and made this season good because without them it would have been meh.I'm gutted they didn't win but they came top 3 so they were on all episodes so that's okay for me. I'm quite surprised I liked Booper & Mark because for the first two episodes i found them annoying but i quickly grew to like them and i appreciate them, but i did expect them to be in the finale because they were one of the underdogs of this season. Art & JJ were okay at first but they got unbearable later on especially with their whining about Rachel and Brendon and how Rachel and Dave didn't U-Turn Rachel and Brendon. I did find Rachel and Dave the obvious winners because they dominated this season which got quite boring but i found Rachel hilarious. Vanessa and Rachel feuding was also hilarious and it was a mess that Phil made a argument between Rachel and Vanessa happen at the pit stop, I would dislike her because of her catty comments towards Rachel R but she was quite entertaining with Ralph.

Looking forward to see Rachel and Brendon back on All-Stars

A good season with lots of couples to root for but of course Twinnies were the best and made this season for me.I'm glad i got to know Nadiya more than i did on Survivor for obvious reasons. I found it hilarious how most people found their shouting/yelling at each other annoying which made it more funny than it was. I'm gutted they didn't make top 3 but they were on every episode so i will take that. Okish winners but i was rooting for Trey and Lexi to win or even Jaymes and James who i found annoying at first but grew to like them. I'm glad no one i liked lost their passport like James/Abba did, I found them quite dull so wasn't a lost. Some teams went too soon </3 like Caitlin & Brittany. Overall a good cast

Just watched TAR3's first episode, and I'm loving Ken & Gerard (though bad move with using the Fast Foward that early), Heather & Eve, Aaron & Arianna and Terri & Ian!

The soccer moms shouldn't have went tbh,
they were very entertaining and the grocery store moment was cute, at least they accepted their defeat graciously, the models or the Brother & Sister team should have went instead.

So, after trying and failing to get into this show various times over the years, I started with 3 the other day (because I'm awkward like that), and having just binged it all, I think I picked a rather good entry point into TAR!

Flo & Zach (but, like, mainly Flo) were obviously stars. But you all know that already, right? I'm sixteen years late to this party, so if you haven't found time to bask in the glory of Florinka Pesenti by now then I have no idea what you've been doing. I can't pick one favourite moment, if not just because I watched it all so quickly that I barely took anything in, so I'll throw into the mix the bit where she shouts at Zach for taking too much time meddling with his zip-off trousers, along with the fact that she spends at least half the finale crying hysterically and threatening to quit (usually over air-con, or the existence of water, or Zach's face), even after resolutely swearing never to threaten to quit again

In terms of non-Flo thoughts, I also loved Derek & Drew, who I find it hard to imagine are now nearly 50 irl (even though there were constant reminders of just how dated this season is throughout, as perhaps evidenced best by the fact that one of the tasks was literally "use a Kodak photo printing machine") and Teri & Ian, who I find it hard to imagine are now in their mid-60s irl, if not just because they already seemed like a pair of 70-year olds in the first place. I can't wait to see how many more countries Teri's pants can fall down in when I eventually get round to watching All-Stars!

Speaking of which... John Vito & Jill? Of all the couples? Granted, I'm guessing that Flo & Drew were their first choice... and maybe Ken & Gerrard were their second choice... and maybe after being turned down by everyone else including Tramel & Talicia (referring to Cozumel as "Chaka Khan" and wondering aloud why none of the places in Mexico are called Detroit ) they had no options left... but casting a team for All-Stars on the sole basis of their storyline being "dead 9/11 brother"? Peak CBS.

(also, I'm aware that me grandly professing my love for, say, Derek & Drew is more of a by-product of me being a TAR newb than anything else, and that once I'm able to put my opinions of the teams into context with the other seasons, I'll probably be a little more rational ) (I will always love you though, Drew) (call me) (on second thoughts, you're 47 now, maybe not)

Yeah, I'm almost definitely doing 5 next, and then I'll probably work my backwards until 1, before picking early seasons at random again until All-Stars Why I don't do things the easy way is beyond me

Not sure if you know this but Flo and Drew dated for seven years affer TAR3! They were actually asked to be on All-Stars but Flo rejected bc the race brings out the worst in her (alol) and she would only run the race with Zach (which melts my heart but is also probably for the best bc I think he's the only person on the planet who could deal with her in race mode)

I want to rewatch a season before the BB vs Survivor vs TAR season starts but I'm undecided which. I've rewatched so many of the pre-S20 seasons countless time so I might go for Brenchel's first season or the Twinnies first season. Then again the golden series never get old to watch, so they're always a possibility too

If you liked Rachel in BB12 I'd say you would love Brenchel's first season She is a mess and doesn't dissapoint

I'm actually a filthy liar and decided to watch 4 first, expecting not to enjoy it...

And I didn't. jk Kimora! I actually thought it was a really fun season, if not quite as fun as 3, and even if its cast wasn't as good as its predecessor's (three mediocre old white guys named Steve in one season? Who casts this show?), most of the evil - i.e. Steve & Josh - was eradicated early and my two favourite teams ended up being the final two. I really thought for most of the race that it would come down to the clowns and the asthmatic virgins, so for neither team to make the final three I was pleasantly surprised!

Kelly & Jon were probably my favourite overall, but I was fine with them not winning given that Flo & Zach had won the previous season, and for two amazing teams of a similar archetype to win consecutive seasons would be esentially unheard of. I probably wouldn't have rooted for Reichen & Chip as much if I were watching a season filmed in 2018, rather than a season filmed in 2003, but I'm glad they won even if it meant enduring all the thankfully outdated "see, (masc) gays can do x too!" overtones of their storyline. Anyway I'm sure that they're still together and happily in love with each other fifteen years lat... *checks Wikipedia* oh.

Other than that, I also enjoyed Tian & Jaree and Monica & Sheree. I guess Amanda & Chris(?) were fun, but that's probably because I can only remember her swearing profusely at him for the entire time they were on the show. Considering they finished (a very, very distant <3) third, David & Jeff were utterly irrelevant, and I couldn't tell you a thing about them other than a) they're surfer dudes and b) they're terrible at surfing.

Let's see how long I can delay actually watching season 5 and move onto 2 instead!

I've seen all the TAR seasons already but I haven't rewatched Rachel's first season since it aired so I'll probably watch that. I remember loads of fights from that season as well, and then the lovely Nary & Jamie just existing every episode as a pleasant balance HATED Art & JJ though, bullying our poor Rachel who just wanted to enjoy the amazing race that's "supposed to be fun and good! "
