Well at least BB was ahead so that'll stop the "OMG yess LI beat BB" crap i saw everywhere on Twitter. Well, looks like a one off! Looks like the same ratings for them at 10pm also then. Looks like fans follow the two shows in both slots.

BB was 3rd in slot behind just BBC1 and ITV.

Decent rating for BB.

Good for LI though - that'll be around 1.3m in officials for them.

The next 3 weeks will be tough.

BB will be clashing with the big matches. C5 can move it as much as they can but when it gets to the later stages, matches go for extra time and penalties... so even when LI ends on the 1st, BB still has heavy competition.

Monday 11th onwards is when we see how much damage LI and Euro's have actually had and see if it climbs.

How do you know Love Island finishes on 1 July, it only started on 30 May and is due to last 6 weeks which makes the final around 8 July.

The Love Islanders keep saying they have another 3 weeks on the show.

Exactly what I as thinking, I mean the 1 July is in 10 days so wouldn't they be saying "days" rather than "weeks". 3 full weeks would take them to 8 July or 10 July depending what day the final is on.

Also I highly doubt the final is next week as Applause Store haven't even released tickets yet or got a date on the website, surely they would give people the chance to get flights and hotels in Majorca sorted out in advance?!.

I wonder how much higher the ratings would be with TV3 included

LI doesn't end on 1 July, I don't think.

The series is scheduled for 6 weeks like last year and it started 3 weeks ago on 30th May so it's not ending next week as that would make it just over 4 weeks. It'll probably end sometime around 8-11th July.

It won't be shorter than last years series - especially given it's getting over double the ratings.

Oh fair enough. Not below 1m I suppose is what we should be aiming for. I just think this series deserves a lot lot better.

TV listings bill Friday 1st as episode 33/33

Edit- Hmm now it's saying it's on longer, but there is no episode number. Odd they have put 33/33 on the 1st and then no episode numbers for the following day. So Radio Times were wrong then.

Love Island airtimes 2-8 July 2016

Well that confirms LI does not end on 1 July. Oddly though *mazedsalv** IIRC I remember seeing LI was scheduled for 33 episodes but ITV have obviously extended it giving the ratings success.

Hmm I didn't know and neither did Radio Times then because they put the Friday 1st as the last episode.

Well, either way, we have a long road until the 10th July when both Euro's finishes and LI should be finished.

It's a bit weird were the final of Love Island is concerned, ITV Press are refusing to put the final episode count on the website as they are just showing the episode numbers for the week.

On the Love Island contestant application website the last date for new people to apply is 6 July 2016 with a valid passport from 1 May 2016 to 31 August 2016 (inclusive) also the contestants need to be exclusively available to participate in Love Island for up to seven consecutive weeks during June and July 2016.

These are really poor figures whatever anybody claims. This is a really expensive show to produce and only a couple of years ago the comparisons were all about how well it did against itv,c4 and bbc2 now its battling itv2.
This is not good.
I have no idea what Love Island costs to produce but im pretty sure it will be nowhere near the Ł40million a year it costs to produce BBUK

It got 1.1m incl +1 last night.

I read it 1.14m.

So close to be rounded up to 1.2m. 1.1-1.3m is the standard C5 rating.

Yep it seems so. This week (2nd full week) of last year was basically under 1m for the whole week bar the Thursday (Aarons ejection) and 4in4out
