1969-Eurovision winner Lenny Kuhr (73) is flying to Israel where here 19-year old grandson is in hospital, attending to her daughters and her four grandchildren. Her management explains why she has to go: "Lenny knows what the risks are, but her maternal and grandmotherly feelings are too strong."

Lenny posted on social media:

I come from London and still work there sometimes. I can't say I've seen that many wearing yarmulkas... but it's good to hear. And yes, brave. You've only got to read some of the hate on this thread to know some of the kind of people they'll be facing.

State media in Syria says Israel has targeted airports in its capital Damascus and the city of Aleppo.

State news agency Sana reported that "bursts of missiles" had led to damage to the airports’ landing strips and had put them out of service.

Local media also say that Syrian air defences were launched in response to the attacks.

The UK-based war monitor the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported several explosions in Aleppo.

The BBC has not been able to independently confirm the reported attacks.

The reported airstrikes come a day before the Iranian foreign minister was expected to visit Syria.

Both countries are avowed enemies of Israel, and Iran has long backed Hamas.

Israel frequently bombs targets in Syria linked to Iran and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, but rarely acknowledges the strikes.

You're in love with the English crown, undoubtedly the biggest terrorist organisation in modern history. Celtic also were fined previously for flying Palestine flags, so the standard has already been set by UEFA and football.

Undoubtedly there are some Hamas supporters, but the majority are supporters of the Palestinians right to self determination and an end to the apartheid they've been forced to live under.
