Now I'm seeing a dumb video from talk TV with the caption " why don't police say he's not Muslim,it will bring peace to the streets" , what a load of garbage & a really tone deaf remark of them to say ...as if the rioters care either way. They just want to riot and cause chaos no matter what. Plus this has clearly been bubbling away...and now they see this as their excuse to kick off.

There's reasonable arguments about the issues mentioned,but you're right....this mindless rioting just makes everyone look bad , I feel like we're in The purge movies!.

The London protest was peaceful. Until police started to get heavy handed. Arresting and beating anyone.

Riots are different these days because most of them are propagated by bots on social media

Anyway, i would rather talk about the 3 poor kids that lost their lives, and no amount of riots are going to change that or reduce the chances of it happening again

Suspect arrives at court in huge police convoy
The teenager charged over the Southport stabbing attack has arrived at Liverpool City Magistrates' Court.
Two police cars and a police van were at the front of the escort, with the white van holding the 17-year-old turning into the back entrance of the court on arrival.
Our crime correspondent Martin Brunt is at the scene and says there were at least eight police vehicles as part of the convoy transporting the suspect.
"I think there were so many police here because there was an anticipation of perhaps an angry crowd," he says.
"Perhaps a repetition of those scenes we saw the other night in Southport. What I have to say, there was none of that.
"There were a few bystanders who suddenly cottoned on when they heard those sirens, saw those blue lights, realised perhaps what was about to happen. But there were no great drama."

Around 20 members of the press packed into court 3.6, a youth court, before District Judge James Hatton sitting at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court.

The defendant was brought into court at 10.21am, wearing a baggy grey tracksuit and black slippers. He looked at the row of reporters sat behind the glass dock and smiled before he was asked to sit down.

The boy was charged with the attempted murder of the two adults who remain in critical condition, Leanne Lucas and John Hayes, as well as the attempted murder of eight children who cannot be named for legal reasons. He is also accused of possessing a kitchen knife with a curved blade.

The 17-year-old used his left hand to pull his sweatshirt over his face above his nose and kept his head low during the five-minute hearing, in which he did not speak. The hearing dealt largely with administrative legal matters ahead of his appearance before another judge at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday.


…I read that his family neighbours have said that he was/appeared to be an introverted child who didn’t leave the family home very much…/…it does bring thoughts that he may have committed this heinous act for a notoriety is a thought….
