To be fair we have no idea if deaths are up and if they are, it's not by much.
This is why I told y'all not to start blaring the trumpets for "zero deaths" last Tuesday. It was bank holiday weekend, it was a rogue reporting result, it was NOT realistically zero deaths last Tuesday, and it's quite simply "bad stats" to pretend that it was. But nooo everyone wanted the "pick-me-up" of pretending there had been none, and now is more worried than they need to be that it's "shot back up". Realistically, had it not been bank holiday last weekend, Tuesday deaths would (probably) have been around 10. Not zero. Last edited by user104658; 09-06-2021 at 07:27 AM. |

personally, i think the obvious solution is to have a period of constant bank holiday. It is the most effective measure we have against covid death

and yes this is a wave you guys are in i think, but more because of the Delta variant, don't think you guys should be going back to more lockdowns since people won't obey to those anymore either, i think best thing now is to keep telling people to stick to distancing, wearing of face masks, but still giving them the rest of their freedoms apart from those basic easy to follow measures and keep vaccinating of course, since that has proven it helps

people need to realize that uncertainty is going to be with us for the foreseeable future. We may well be able to remove social distancing at some point, but only when it's safe to do so, and right now, that comes in baby steps until we get a fuller picture.
Vaccinated people shouldnt need to isolate for 10 days after a negative test either, it's totally over the top, but it will sort itself out when we have a bit more confidence with the effectiveness of vaccination |

About 8 in 10 adults in the UK had antibodies to coronavirus by 17 May, according to the latest data from the Office for National Statistics.
The figures are 83% for adults in Wales, 80% in England and Northern Ireland and a slightly lower 73% for Scotland. They're up from 77% for Wales, 76% for England, 75% for Northern Ireland and 69% for Scotland - the week before. Antibodies are evidence of vaccination or past infection which help the body fight illness. |

don't panic just yet, only 3 are in hospital who have been double jabbed, a handful single jabbed, the vast majority in with the Delta variant are unvaccinated

Can we really believe a word HanCock says now .. I seem to recall him saying the two jabs would guard against hospitalisations and death ... sounded brilliant at the time but now we’re seeing double vaccinated people poorly in hospital ( using Govt stats - one in every three requiring hospitalisations result in death ) ### Matt Hancock told MPs: “Despite the rise in cases, hospitalisations have been broadly flat. The “majority” of people in hospital with Covid “appear” to be those who haven’t had the vaccine at all. “I want to update the House on some new information that we have on this. As of 3 June our data show that of the 12,383 cases of the Delta variant, 464 went on to present at emergency care and 126 people were admitted to hospital. Of these 126 people, 83 were unvaccinated, 28 had received one dose and just three had received both doses of the vaccine.” He added: “The jabs are working, we have to keep coming forward to get them and that includes vitally that second jab which we know gives better protection against the Delta variant.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

![]() Everyone know vaccines don't cover 100% and that was stated quite clearly from the start and on SKY news which you are very fond of! You don't know what underlying issues these 3 have, maybe they are in remission from cancer and the vaccine didn't work so well with other drugs, no one nowhere said vaccines would protect EVERYONE but they will protect the vast MAJORITY
