Seems it's Bilbao being awkward and making it seem like they have no choice in the matter. Every journalist expects the deal to still go through. He's in this country, has been shown around the training ground etc. Then all of a sudden Bilbao reject a bid...

Seems United now have to deposit the money with Herrera and he has to submit it with Spanish authorities.

They done this with Martinez too. He ended up having to buy himself out and Bayern covered the cost for him. They down it with another guy too.

Exactly this. Newspapers in the Bilbao area are making him out to be a money grabber for wanting to join United even though we're not in the Champions League. Which is ridiculous.

Seems we'll have to pay the 4% Unity fee to Zaragoza also. Bilbao are twats to deal with.

They were twats to Llorente, making him look like a twat for wanting to join much bigger clubs then benched him for no reason for practically all of his last season at Bilbao when he'd been great for them

Indeed. I think the fans were booing him as well.

I guess part of it could be that they only have Basque players which makes finding replacements much tougher.

Herrera issue now resolved, although it was apparently resolved before Bilbao made the statement. How typical.
