I find this Dean and Roxy stuff so unbelievable.

He's just not convincing as a manipulator.

Denise called Roxy a slag and started an argument with her over something that was nothing to do with Roxy so Denise was the one out of order. Out of character that Roxy would sheepishly apologise.
