not me, i have bought a few extra tins of chilli and curry and corned beef and meat paste but thats about it. The TL has stockpiled tins mainly. but we both have not stockpiled milk, bread, dog food etc. as we dont have the freezer space

Because the TL was due to be away for 5 weeks in Asia in June she had already bought dog food online for that duration for her mutts prior

and in a specific thread about panic buying, i dont think posting about panic buying is "bragging" You sound pressed because you have missed the boat?

They were at the pet shop within the hour😂
I really don’t think they have a clue when it comes to shopping.

When we see eggs again, it will be like bananas after the war

we will be frying, scrambling, poaching, omelettes

that said I bought two packs of 12 3 weeks ago so I still have some in my fridge

So? I can't have an opinion on this ridiculous bulk buying by inconsiderate people without you commenting on ME instead?

Bore off.

Not at all I have a few staples as I've stated in threads prior, but as I said to kaz earlier today it seems to be the people who are or have stockpiled who are now complaining of panic buying. Is it a case of ' im alright jack'?

I just hope we can get pet food Smudgie, otherwise they will be eating our stuff (that's if we can get any)

there is a distinction between doing a few extra shops to fill up your cupboards and fighting in the aisles for bog roll or buying 20 loaves in 2 trolleys in one go

below is panic buying

I didn't stockpile I bought two extra packets of pasta, tea and stuff rather than the one extra that I would normally buy, I haven't got 20 pks to pasta stashed and I haven't bought anything extra since I did that 3 weeks ago, just shopping normally minus the pasta and eggs and TR

I think a lot of the shortages are down to people buying things they wouldn't normally buy, like paracetomol, most people would only buy it when they needed it, now they are laying it in just in case

The panic buying is more worrying than the virus now.

You justify tin city under your bed if you want, fact is you have your goods and are now mocking people who are buying in themselves. Smacks of hypocrisy.

It's so stressful to go food shopping now. I used to love it, but now it's just too much

Our tins under the bed have been built up over the last 5 weeks or so, not once have we shopped with more than one trolley - that isnt panic buying that is preparing

you need to understand the distinction.

Calm down cherie I haven't accused you of anything.

Yes, there is something to be said for preparedness however, once you fall ill that's not the time to be trawling round possibly infecting others. It's sensible.

I'm in a large M&S food store and it's like walking into a shop from the beforetimes! Shelves stocked full of everything (except pasta and toilet roll). But fresh meat & veg coming out your ears in here.
