Indeed and we apparently just hit hayfever peak so that will be interesting for the testing centres.

In positive news; as with last year, my own hayfever seems to still be miraculously gone.

I never had it in my life until 9 years ago... had horrible hayfever for 7 years (I was getting bad nosebleeds and everything because it was wrecking my sinuses) and then last year just... didn't have any. And none (touch wood, so far) this year either.

Oh well. I've probably been superspreading all over the county. It's mostly cleared today though so too late to even test .

Technically it shouldn't have been BUT I was only 10 days after my 2nd dose sooo... not fully double-dosed...

Though my daughter was the first to get it and we did get her tested and that came back negative. So assuming it was the same thing probs not? Who knows. I'm not dead anyway and like I said, was perking up by Saturday and mostly cleared today.

Nasty one tho...
I've had the same I'm have a cough for about 2 weeks now. Started off really dry and hurt my chest a few days after it started I felt really ill I just wanted to sleep but then I had to just get on with stuff so just continued and then a couple of days after the cough subsided but then came back as a tickly cough every now and again every day but no other symptoms and I've had a couple of lateral tests which say negative. I think it's just cough and cold season in general and the pollen count is very high and odd at the moment you can see it all flying around like snow I've never seen that before

Hasn't it been said that hayfever is cyclical and goes on seven year cycles often or am I just makibg that up?

I suffered from childhood asthma that I grew out of too. I still have a prescription on repeat for an inhaler but haven't needed it since my early 20's.

Large events are to be lifted? Isn't that one of the places it could spread?

Also if cases are getting worse now how is keeping everything as it is now gonna help matters?

Personally I think they should have delayed the last step. The weathers been lovely for pub gardens and friends gardens etc. Not enough had been vaccined yet. Numbers are flying a lot higher than they thought they would be

I dunno. Large events are usually outdoors and ventilation is key... nightclubs are hot, sweaty, stuffy and frankly ****ing disgusting.

I used to have it as a child but grew out of it in my late teens. My husband has been suffering with it for the past 3 years...but its been better this year.

I'm noticing loads of pollen this year but I think it's because our new car is black . The pollen actually sits on it like a "coating" and shows up really clearly. Last week it was absolutely covered in a dusting of weird bright yellow pollen... like one side of the car actually looked painted a "dark" yellow colour .

I think it might be due to the 'bring back the bee's' campaign so no mow May and no mowing of grass verges, more wild flowers etc

Urgh, just look at those slimy leeches. I wonder what the carbon footprint is of them all coming here? I wonder how much money was wasted on bringing them all together? I wonder why they're above wearing masks and distancing?

No excuse for this when us common folk are meant to be following the rules and everything.

When money, the environment, and the virus are all current concerns, there's no reason for this summit to be in person.

Did they all have to do 10 days isolation (at their expense) if they have come from Amber or Red list countries?

We haven't had the gardener round at all yet this year (he's supposed to be coming today) and I simply do not mow as it's beneath me.

Our grass is, in places, nearly 2ft high .

One of our sets of neighbours are the types who have their garden preened to within an inch of it's life (not even nice... just... bland... like a new-build garden... the types who would probably get Astroturf) and the woman accosted me in the garden last week demanding to know "when I planned to cut the grass".

To which I (tongue in cheek ) replied that we're "supporting biodiversity".

It didn't go down very well .

I wouldnt expect them to be wearing masks as they are outside, but distancing yes and I do find the whole climate change discussion hilarious given they arrived in helicopters and Chinooks and by calvacade of vehicles, the only nod to anywhere near being green was Carrie Johnson renting her outfits

Netherlands: no more corona measures, no more lockdowns as of June 26th, not June 30th

there'll only be a travel ban for UK and areas of Asia because of delta variant
