sorry, transfers is never an aspect of football im hot on - who is this guy? any good? what position?
oh and in response to your question, inthehood, i dont know if Plymouth have any players from Holland? not sure, most are English

Odejayi is a striker. Age 23 7 goals in 28, hardly a great record for League 2, but 270,000 apparently

Just looked at squad, no Dutch players. An Icelandic, Swede, Hungarian, Portuguese and 3 French.

Odejayi is English.

It had nothing to do with Liverpool playing well, they didn't, both teams were pretty poor.
Except that they aren't a great side any more.

Liverpool played them off the park, so if they didn't play well, what does that say about the home team?

Leicester are struggling this year, very strange.

Will be a tough match.

van der Sar, Gary Neville, Rio, Vidic, Evra, Heinze, Ronaldo, Rooney, van Nistelroij....pretty good base. And with Gattuso, Ballack and Diarra all lined up......

It tells me it was one match, Liverpool were poor, United were poor and it also tells me that Serie A and La Liga are well ahead of EPL, as they always have been in the last 20 years.

Oh and Chelsea are by far the best team in England, which isn't neccesarily good for the game, but it's up to the rest to catch up.

In other news, Beto has left Sporting Club of Lisbon for Bordeaux, and Benfica have signed Academica's skilful striker Marcel on loan for the remainder of the season.

Nigeria beat Ghana 1-0 in African Cup, along with Senegal beating Zimbabwe 2-0.

Almost forgot, Tottenham have joined the running to sign Nigel de Jong. He is a great player and will do well in England.

Chelsea also want Feyenoord Trio, Jonathan De Guzman, Dirk Kuijt and Salomon Kalou.....just to strengthen

One midfield player, with no central midfield at all doesn't seem like much of a base to me. Keane's absence from the team has affected them as much as Vierra's has Arsenal. Vidic is in no way proven, Evra has had a shocking start in the Premiership so far, Ferdinand is as much of a liability as he is an asset, and Heinze is out for the rest of the season. Ballack has said he doesn't want to play here, and I doubt anyone other than Chelski would be prepared to pay either the transfer fee or his wages, anyway.

Liverpool weren't poor at all. The finishing was bad, but a team that dominates a game, especially away from home against supposedly one of the best teams in Europe, quite clealy has not played poorly at all. It may make manure fans sleep easier to suggest that there wasn't much in it, but they were out-played at home by the team they see as their biggest rivals. Yes, they took the three points. But they were well beaten as a team, and they know it.

It's hardly surprising, given that the only thing stopping them from cherry-picking the world's best talent is that a few have morals and have refused the offer of huge wage packets to sit on the bench or play for the reserves.

It's all about who puts the ball in the back of the net, and on this occasion it was Man Utd. How I tired of hearing that from my arsenal supporting mates after last seasons FA Cup final (and even then that was only on penalties).

But Liverpool were poor overall. They had a vastly superior midfield, and yet Gerrard and Alonso were keep relatively quiet by a makeshift central midfield featuring Giggsy, a winger and O'Shea, a player who no-one knows where he should play. Even when O'Shea came off at half-time, the three man midfield still coped well. The problem I have is that Man Utd should not be a team who have a midfield who can "cope" with teams. We should have a midfield which teams are **** scared of.

Looking at the lineup at kick-off, I honestly expected Liverpool to give us the whipping that the scousers have longed for. Thankfully, due to Utd's hard work and Liverpools rubbish forward line, it didn't happen. With the team Liverpool had out compared to the Utd team, and with Liverpools dominance of possession in the game, Liverpool should have won the game and they know it.

As a "manure" fan, I'm sleeping easy with our three points in the bag. The troubled sleepers should be the scousers, who had a better team, dominated the game and still couldn't win.

Vidic and Evra will prove excellent buys and United will buy 2 quality midfielders in the summer. Still the 2nd best team in England, no doubt.

We drew 1-1 with Woking, sounds like we were well and truly robbed. Stamp scored for us after great build up play from Miller and Gregory but one of our ex-players Craig MCallister scored on a breakaway

Heerenveen have signed 18 year old American kid, Michael Bradley.

He looks a decent prospect. Saw him play twice for the Metrostars in 2005, a central midfielder

MLS is poor, but some good youngsters right now.

18 years of age with a small fee is not too much risk.

Unfortunately, we don't have money like all the big teams, well we have around 10 million Euros which is only because Huntelaar was sold to Ajax.

Man Utd must find £12M to land Osasuna kid Raul

The buyout clause of Osasuna midfielder Raul Garcia has been increased from £10 million to £12 million.

Osasuna confirmed the increase yesterday, which came after Raul completed his 20th pro game for the club on the weekend.

The 19 year-old is tied to Osasuna until 2009 and has Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona all keeping tabs on his progress this season.

United chief scout Martin Ferguson was again in Spain on Sunday to watch Raul play against Villarreal at the Madrigal

-----------------------------------

Raul Garcia is a super player. Only 19. I was sure he was going to Real Madrid, but now, who knows.
