Internet troll

In the context of the Internet, a troll is a person who makes inflammatory comments, which by effect or design cause disruptions in discourse.

Self-proclaimed "trolls" style themselves as devil's advocates, challenging the dominant discourse and assumptions of forum discussions in an attempt to break the status quo of groupthink.

The contemporary use of the term first appeared on Usenet groups in the early 1990s. It is widely thought to be a diminutive of the phrase "trolling for suckers," itself derived from the sports-fishing technique of trolling.

Does that description sound like anybody on this thread?

I wasn't going to post again on this subject but have to say have been reading your comments with some amusement. Firstly I am at a loss to know why people would believe everything that Sausage is telling them but seem to have a problem believing what Phillip is saying. I would assume from reading this thread that Sausage is either not a member of Neil's inner circle of friends, as they do know exactly what the situation is between Michelle and Neil and that is that they are only friends, or someone is trying to throw you off the scent. OK so Sausage has shown people some photos, in any of those photos are Michelle and Neil together? Come on tell me people why you want to believe one thing but not another. Phillip good on you for posting and at least trying to tell people what exactly is going on even though they don't want to believe you, all you can do is try so let them believe what they want, people should be aware that you know more from what you are saying that Sausage does and therefore they should not be quick to dismss your posts. No I am not going to backup this post with any further information as I feel it would be a complete waste of time so carry on guys and I will carry on reading with amusement.

Interesting post Johnny I was wondering why people are reluctant to believe in Phillips posts (which Phillip are very interesting) but choose to believe the opposite, strange.

phillips first post on this thread was not to dismiss the idea of michelle & neil being a couple but to ask if another member had any photos of them together from the costume party.

only when said member answered that they didn't did phillip proceed with his claims that they were in reality not a couple and he knew this for a fact no matter what anybody else said.

if phillip was so sure that they were not boyfriend & girlfriend why did he wait until sausage had replied that she didn't have any photos of the two of them together from the party before making his claims?

was it because he didn't want to look a fool by posting before knowing whether or not there were photos which were contrary to his claims?

we are just going round in circles here! it seems obvious to me that both sausage and philip know something. sausage does know michelle and neil as she has photos of the two of them. but as philip has said along with other people they are never in the papers papped as a couple and that is strange. so it could very well be true that they are just freinds, we can go into the reasons why this arrangement has been made but it doesnt matter anymore acording to philip. the arrangement is no longer necessary. end of!

It amazes me too that more people on here seem happy to believe sausage purely because she has posted some pics of Michelle and Neil at the same party. None of the pics actually show them together, so if this is the the basis of people believing her then I suppose we can assume that Neil is going out with everyone who was at the party . The fact is that whilst sausage obviously knows Neil and Michelle or at least knows someone who does, she has not told us anything that we didn't already know, which makes me question how well she knows the situation at all and how much information she is actually privy to, especailly as she wasn't even sure if what was reported in Star mag about them moving in together was true or not. On the other hand as you say Johnny, most people have been quick to dismiss Philip's posts as rubbish but from what both he and you have posted I am inclined to believe that he knows more than sausage does. What I can't quite work out is what all the mind games going on here yesterday were all about
I am not sure whether it is a case of sausage not knowing the situation that well or that she is trying to throw people off the scent, but if the latter is the case I believe that she may not be the only one on here trying to do this.

I would just like to say that I do have pictures of them together I told you that and I didnt want to put them up before I had their go ahead but I didnt bother to ask them because I thought that this is so pathetic! and you will only pic at it anyhow I am just fed up with explaining myself, I really dont know why I bothered in the first place but cant change that so nevermind! I am in the inner circle as I have explained before that my boyfriend is one of neils best friends! I know what I know and im not willing to tell you anymore as all you do is ask for more, and to explain. At the end of the day you are going to believe what you want so thats fair enough! I for one know that they are together and so does dirty dancer and I would be very greatful if she could let me know how she knows me, even if its by u2u. Thank you all!

One day the truth will come out and you will realise just who has been the troll on here and it is certainly not me. I wonder also if sausage will be around when that happens, I very much doubt it.

I stand by 100% what I have said about Neil and Michelle, they are not and never have been a couple and I am very sorry if that upsets some people.

I will leave it at that and just say thank you to those of you that didn't doubt me, even though I wasn't prepared to post on an open forum as to how I knew about Neil and Michelle. I would just say though that if I wasn't telling the truth why would I post on here in the first place, it is certainly not the most pleasant of places to be.

if you are going to make claims on a forum that differ greatly
from those that are actually public knowledge you should be
both willing and able to back these claims up with some kind
of proof.


if you either will not or cannot do so, for whatever reason,
don't be surprised if you get labelled a troll.

How sad is that that you do not believe that I have a problem! I didnt want to reply to private post on here but I didnt want to not aswer and it was nothing that I havent already posted on here, that is why I replied on here about that and not to my other more private ones! My problem reads something along the lines of un flag and debug, What that means I dont have a clue, tried to look it up as I didnt have this problem to start with but couldn't find any help! not that it is relevent just once again explaining something not worth it!

My problem with all this sausage is that if they are together, and I'm not saying their not, why have you felt the need to come on to a forum to explain the situation, surely if they are together and Michelle, from her last comments in a magazine has already said that she is with Neil, what is there to tell us. I did but then people keep saying things to do with me so I give my say, thought I really dont know why, I was told by a friend about you all talking on this subject and didnt know the truth so I thought that I would help out! To be honest sausage all you have done is stirred up a hornets nest, and if your posts were intended to put people's minds at rest, to me all you have done is completley the opposite. I really would'nt have a clue who is telling the truth, maybe there is some truth in a lot of the different posts on here, but if you know Michelle I find it hard to believe that she would want her private life discussed on an open forum. I am sure if she has anything to tell us she will do so herself at some point.
